Having Issues With Transparent Backgrounds on Imported Images

I have a couple images that I would like to use in my game, but whenever I import them to the Battlers folder and I make the background transparent (It looks completely white when I do it) but when I put it against a background or preview it there are splotches of white or streaks of white or a light blue in the background.

Does anybody know how to get rid of this? Or is it simply a matter of me finding the right images? These pictures are hard to find as it it! I'll link a few that I have found...

If you look really closely, you'll notice slight differences in colors in the background.  The second one, for example, has very light lines.  You'll have to edit them yourself or find someone else to do it for you.  I would . . . but they creep me out.

So, is the only way I can do this is by going into paint, dousing the background in black, color the rest in pixel by pixel, then douse the entire thing in white again?

That'll take forever lol.

Hm . . . it appears it needs a more advanced program than paint.  I'll edit them for you real quick.  By the way, this would have been better placed in the Resource Request forum.

I guess I'll have to find a program to help me or something... Because there are still a lot of yucky lines that are distracting.

Thanks for the help though, I'm going to try other methods.

If you want to clean it up, here's the program I used.  Just use the eraser to get rid of all color (make it transparent).  Good luck!
