have "magic" have a dif. name for each character?

so instead of the commands being: "attack, magic, item, defend" i want to be able to rename magic, and have it be different for all of the characters. so an alchemist will use alchemy, black mage will use black magic, etc. etc.

is the simplist way to do this a script?

Yes, the simplest way is with a script.

You'd have to define each class and what it is called. etc
