Harmonics TD [Download link up]

I felt like the middle few stages were actually a little easier than the first (though that might just be getting used to a good strategy). But for every stage I felt like I ended up with a huge sum of money. Maybe make the pedal interest bonus less (25%) or have the bonuses cost some money?

Also, just an idea I had, maybe add medals for how well you did (i.e. gold for keeping all 30 lives, silver for 20+, and bronze for 10+). That would up the replay level a bit.

Yeah, balancing was quite an issue this time, but I took myself a little late for that. The reason why money piles up near the end is that you already have an "infrastructure" set, so you only need very little money. In fact, the money you get is the root (2.5 or so) of the tenth of the creep's power, but the real problem was that the power didn't get exponentially fast enough and I've realized this a bit too late.

Eventually I'll redo this game and release it in a proper way (using a real installer). I'll need to (in addition to your suggestions) :
  • Reprogram it entirely (shouldn't take that long), so I have a clean and efficient code that does not cause large lag.
  • Add various little features, such as a high score table, medals, etc.
  • Give more money at the beginning.
  • Make the ending exponentially hard.
  • Remove/reduce resistances where they don't belong (like crotchets).
  • Increase the overall price of the towers so that it takes more time to get the biggest one.
  • Find a way to make Wave III not consume so much ressources.
  • Make a proper installer.
  • Make instructions less boring.
  • Unlockables. At least for the music, since they are not found in MP3 format in the content folder.

Those were all valid points Redi, thanks a lot!
