nobody really celebrates halloween like they used to.
i remember when almost everybody in the neighborhood was decorating their yard and passing out candy. 6 years later, there were like 8 houses on the entire block participating, and more than half the kids that were trick-or-treating (which there were only like 15 of them) weren't even fucking dressed up.

Ever since then, it's never been the same. I remember right after it happened, I was probably one out of 20 kids trick-or-treating and my neighborhood is fucking huge. Everyone was scared of terrorists and now everyone is just damn lazy.
