Hailey T.'s Coloring Tutorial

Hey everyone, its been a while.

I've had several people ask me how I color battlers and what not.. so I decided to make a coloring tutorial that hopefully explains my technique and maybe help out some people who are just starting out Photoshop.

Just as a note.. this tutorial is geared towards beginners, so it explains just about everything in an attempt to be extra clear. I'm sure there are many flaws, as its my first attempt at making a tutorial, but nonetheless I hope it helps somebody.

I know there are plenty of Photoshop masters here, but please refrain from rolling your eyes at this one. Its just supposed to be a simple tutorial that gets the job done.

Hope you like, thanks

That's just as bad. You can't just darken the base color- that's what the burn tool does. Make sure you edit the saturation a bit (Shadows are generally less saturated) and move the hue towards the cooler side (Sometimes towards the warmer side, but that depens on what's going on... you usually go towards the cooler side) and use the result as your shadow.

I've always thought the burn tool was just make everything look darker going towards dark brown/black

I guess everyone has their way of colouring <3
