.hack

Who here has played any of the .hack games? I've only played Infection so far, but it's a great series and I love the concept; it's soo cool!

I played the 3 .hack G.U. games. They are nice games, +1 points for kick opening chests. The games have a good story, but the way the characters act is too unrealistic.

I would like to play the first saga, but its graphics are getting too old...

.hack is a multimedia project, including games, anime, manga, books, and else. It centers its story around a futuristic MMO called The World, where some strange anomalies ocurrs, like people falling into comas when playing it and other things.

I have the first four games, but I bought them mostly to get the Liminality discs that came with them. (And wtf is with spell checkers not getting Liminality? It's a word!) I started the games, but they got really, really repetitive. On the other hand, I now own a copy of every CD that has .hack music composed by Yuki Kajiura. (Including several rare, out of print singles CDs) Oh, and I got them all in brand new, factory sealed condition, despite the fact that the majority of them have been out of print for years. I really do like that music. (Fiction was easy though, since it just got reprinted. But those two singles CDs were a pain in the ass to find, even if you were willing to go with ones that had been unsealed)

I've played all the games. Watch all 3 anime series. And even bought a couple books. So I guess I'm a fan. :specs:
I liked the first series best. It had style and the dvd episodes that came with each game made an awesome experience.

I'd suggest reading AI buster if you find it at a book store. It's about an admin named Albireo that debugs the game and finds an Ai that's a prototype to Aurora. I think he's making an appearance in the psp game which might be the only reason I play it.
I started loosing interest after G.U.

There are many more series than you have seen, then. There are definitely more than three anime series, there are several manga series, there is at least one light novel series, and at least two game series.
