Besides, El, in the game, grunties didn't get sick. ._. Don't make them get sick. If you are going to make an RMXP fangame of the .hack games, it's best to keep close to the original. Which means, GO PLAY THEM.

It's based on .hack://Sign aswell as the games and Legend of the Twilight, it's based on the .hack series as a whole.
This was never a fan game on the games -.- I only used the game's weaponry and items.
Watch the anime and read the first post :p
Some people just post about media without even knowing about the media :|

Hey, if you want to make an MMO, your going to have to put some time into it before releasing a beta. I used to have an online game called "The Land of Sidsten", and I released it way too early, people played and got bored after like 2-3 hours because I didn't have enough done in the game.

These kinds of games take time to produce and get ready for online play. You can't expect people to wait around for new releases. Wouldn't you rather have a nice big game and many places to explore and things to do before releasing? I think it would draw many more players. Then you could have things like weekly updates/fixes go more smoothly. Just trying to help you out. If you want to keep going like this though, go ahead. I'll be back later to check how your doing. Good luck.

I've left the last update alone and I'm working on the game itself before releasing it again.
I completely understand what you mean though.

Dear, I've watched the animes, read the manga, played the games, read the books: if you are going to make a fangame on something, make yourself familiar about everything? I mean, you don't seem to know how the game works, so maybe you should go play the games rather than just watch the animes to make a online fan-game.

I am not going to put much faith in a person who doesn't play the source material they are basing their game on. You really should do your homework because when you say things like "I never played the games" you lose a lot of credibility with your audience whom I suspect are people that have taken in a lot of the different .hack related media, games included.

I too have watched the anime.

Maps are based on the manga and anime, soundtrack is based on the anime, spells, item, weapons, armours, classes and background story are based on the games.
Just because they don't get sick in the games doesn't mean we should completely scrap the Grunty system just to fit in with one genre of the .hack series.
If you really want me to give up on this project, then fine.

Hey just a few suggestions. How about a really rare event that allows the player to change their class to two very special classes.

1. Ask Erk to use Dragon Kid as a class. Having something like that would really boost the "RMXP.org Official" thing you might be going for. (If your going for that). The Class could be called Master or Dragon Blade or something.

2. Super Twin Blade (Only available for Twin Blades at a high level) User gets the Kite Twin Blade Graphic (You know the orange one.).

I'm trying to suggest some good Ideas while trying to get my spriting done.

....You think this'd be made "RMXP.org Official"? A .hack fangame which hasn't read up on it's subject material?

Ugh. Here we go again. Just as I was starting to think "Perhaps there is a chance this could somehow be remotely good", bang.

No, I don't think this'd be made "RMXP.org Official".
Before it was called .hack RMXP it was an idea to be called rmxp online. That was after it was considered to be Battle World online, which was after it was considered to be Ring World Online.
Very confusing link there...

Can you people resist pointing out the bad things until you actually tried it.

Normally this is a pretty valid suggestion, but the last round of criticism you received had more to do with your methods than the actual game. You were the one who admitted you had not watched/played .hack or hack//sign or hack/@?%&*lol or whatever it calls itself. I think it's pretty reasonable for people to question your ability to make a fangame based on an anime/game when you appear to only have basic knowledge of it. That kind of question isn't contingent on having played your game or not, I'm afraid.

At this point, I'd suggest you drop the "hack" part altogether and just try to create a functional MMORPG. Whatever you decide, however, I'll give you a fair advance notice that if this thread continues to degenerate the way it currently is now, the other project mods and I probably wont' see much value in it.

The grunty Eggs are just random eggs/monsters that when you attack you get the food Item. they have like 1 hp and they dont attack. Plus they say their names when you are close to them. I would also suggest you rent the games so you know some of the dot hack things people are saying.

Also the database of the Armor's is about 70% done so I will be able to get it to you soon.

Updated.
Bloody hell, that upload took forever. Update info is on first page. The server is on.
Check out the recruitment because we need help. (Yawn)
Updated loads of things. I urge you to explore them yourself because I have added some new maps.
I'm doing the Twin Blade weapons right now...There's loads of 'em...
@ Volrath. I have already watched sign and read twilight. As for the game, I got tons of information on them, and I'm swinging the whole database towards 'em.
Decent MMO part arrives at our first dungeon. *Insert thunderclap here*

nope, not kidding, even tried reinstalling the thing to see if that made a difference. Nothing changed, same error each time.
