From what I've seen in previews, Twilight isn't worth considering for a man to watch. If you're a girl, go ahead, girls love that stuff. Well some do, not all, definitely not all. I always drop a bomb on popular stuff and jump on the hate bandwagon before trying stuff. But I gave most things a shot like Kingdom Hearts and Naruto. I only ended up liking Kingdom Hearts.

I am NOT a girl, but what's the problems with love stories? You dont need to be a girl to like love stories!!! lol -_- but I can admit she destroyed the original scary way vampire classics is, but its not a bad story because of that, and if it is, it is just spread too thin. Just my thoughts

I saw the first twilight film because my best friend (one of the most girly-girls I know) wanted to have a twilight party. I went out of curiosity of course, and because I haven't hung out with her in awhile.

It was so boring. I kept falling asleep during it. I can't stand romance films, so that could be a reason I didn't like the movie at all. I generally don't mind vampire stuff, but this movie didn't do it right. The worst part for me was when they are sitting around and staring at each other. I thought to myself, "how fun is that? If it were me, I'd be bored if that's all we do."

I heard somewhere down the line the main chick has a baby or something. I don't know if this is true or not, but how is that possible? Aren't vampires undead? Also, how did the vampires go to school if they don't do too well in sunlight? Very powerful sun lotion? O.oa

For these vamps, sunlight has no adverse effect on them, they just sparkle. As for the baby, it is a dhampir (a half-vampire). There are several creation myths for them, but the one Stephanie Meyer chose was the more popular form where a vampire male impregnates a human female. This is also the form used in Barb and J.C. Hendee's Saga of the Noble Dead series and the BloodRayne movies/games. Blade, however follows the other dhampir creation story where a pregnant woman is turned during her second or third trimester and the developing fetus is only partially affected.

And that's why everyone says they "sparkle". I never really understood that part - didn't really pay attention I guess. Hehe. XD

It's not really that important until the second book/movie where Edward is trying to make the Volturi kill him by exposing himself to full daylight in the middle of a crowded plaza in Italy.

I just think if that many people hate it it must be worth watching, if only to just see how bad it was. (Anyone seen Assylun's Sherlock Holmes? :box: )

Besides, I enjoy some vampire stuff. Though mainly Buffy/Angel which I guess doesn't really count much towards Vampire lore! I'd have thought since they're aimed at teens that Twilight must be somewhat similar to those rather than say something more... adult.

as a sidenote, have you been seeing all the silly things that other companies are coming up with to capitalize on all this? I've seen like a million ads for this personalized Twilight knockoff (read: they replace Bella's name with yours I guess?)

between this and my life is twilight I now find fans of series much scarier than actual vampires could ever be. sorry, mr. Lugosi.

You know just a thought, :!: but me :girl: (GIRL) and my brother like some romance comedies, and we both LOATHE TWILIGHT! If the world was to end tomorrow and we could only save a handful of books: Twilight wouldn't be one of them. We wouldn't be entirely too upset about it, either. It just wouldn't be that much of a lose, but sadly, I think there are a lot of books and movies like that. We might not always agree on which ones though. :haha:
