If you want to watch a bunch of angsty teenagers mope around and a perfect character with absolutely no flaws (except she's clumsy!! that makes her a good character right?!?!) be saved by a *beautiful vampire that sparkles* and absolutely nothing else happen in the entire movie, you may enjoy Twilight.
ok, so, my girlfriend watched the first one, and I watched it with her with the intention of getting a piece during/after the movie (never happened, so it was wasted effort). let me tell you what happens in the first one:
nothing.
abso-fucking-lutely nothing. they just stand around and walk around in the forest for the whole fucking movie, just talking about jack shit. nothing. fucking. happens. whoever thought this would make a good movie is a fucking idiot. NOTHING HAPPENS. OMFG. OH, AND THEY ALSO GO TO SCHOOL ONCE IN A WHILE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've seen the movies and read the first two books at the insistence of my sister - I'm surprised I got as far as I did. I can't bring myself to pick up the next one. The "LOL Twilight am I right guys?" bandwagon kiddies who spout hate because it's the thing to do, without knowing the first thing about what they're actually discussing annoy the hell out of me, but it's honestly pretty fucking terrible.
The last book sounds worth reading because it apparently jumps the shark in a hilariously gruesome fashion, involving a few highly disturbing concepts ("that unborn child is my soulmate, yessir), graphic descriptions of a vampire biting through a woman's stomach to pull out a superstrong rapidly-aging baby, etc.

I think Stephen King says it best when he says, "Stephenie Meyers can't write worth a DAMN!" People who like vampires isn't going to want to read about Twilight, because it's just stupid! If it was a regular guy meet girl book, I don't think it would sell, because those people wouldn't want to read it either. But combine the two, and suddenly you have a book that is sellible. If I watch it, Sadako will kill me 48 hours later. 
For those who like it, go ahead and you watch it, I won't. Otherwise, I can take a crap better than twilight!

From what I've seen in previews, Twilight isn't worth considering for a man to watch. If you're a girl, go ahead, girls love that stuff. Well some do, not all, definitely not all. I always drop a bomb on popular stuff and jump on the hate bandwagon before trying stuff. But I gave most things a shot like Kingdom Hearts and Naruto. I only ended up liking Kingdom Hearts.
