Hi all!
I've been looking for a template to match my spriting style for a while now, with little success at best- Some are too small, others too big, and some just don't work for me... And guess where that ended up...

So here I am, posting my own template, wich I named the GuMan:

Made from scratch, custom palette, no reference.8-)

The coloring of the actual sprite makes it seem...well, it looks like a typical reference of a space alien. For some reason, this template puts me in mind of that alot. Has to be the coloring.

Also, in both versions the foot on both the 2nd and 4th frame, in the first row, is completly unnatural. It doesn't flow right.

However, I really do like the template. Good work, dude.

Yeah, I am working on the legs rigth now.
And what comes to the skin, this one is supposed to be the asian skintoned one.
I have the average white man rigth there in the first post now.

The green color is diff but i don't think anyone will use it unless they are going to make a goblin or something, imo you should use a normal skin color and have the green as an alternate.
On the frontal for both male and female, you should work on that foot that comes forward because it looks weird, you should also work a bit more on the face for the side frames, stand the side frame and frontal next to each other and compare.

I stink with criticism man ':| , hope that helped a tad at least.

Edit: also, try making a one frame, so peeps see what it looks like clothed.

Okeys... Me being color-blind is probably why it's green(I see it as yellowish...)

that skin tone is much better.
I tried it ig, but the walking animation doesn't look like he's walking. It just looks like he's lifting one foot at a time.

funky looking walking animations can work well ig though, just take a look at one of my templates

I remade the front legs during the downtime, and some sligth changes to the palette too. The fixed one is in the first post.
