Does this look like a Guinea Pig?

I was fooling around in paint. And I tried.. I really tried drawing a guinea pig. It's so hard. It looks like a rat cat. I can't figure out if this looks awful or ok. Feel free to say it looks like crap

a bit. They look half like... rats and cats. They're not crap, you've sort of defined all the legs and arms and stuff... I just can't say it's exactly a guinea pig.
I'd say that a guinea pug is pretty close. good job.

Yep, its pretty close to it, but if you hadn't said it was a guinea pig I might have mistook it for a dog.

The legs are pretty wide for a guinea pig. Their legs are narrower. Also, it's too high up on its legs. Most of the time cavies are closer to the ground.

it's not just shorter legs, but also that the hind body slopes down, it's position now looks like that of a dog's because it has equal weight on both ends.

It looks like a cat to me (Sorry!). But it's cute! Maybe you should make his body shorter and round and remove his leg because in RPG Maker XP scales guinea pig won't be that huge. You did a great job! Love it!

That's so cute! And yes, I think it looks like a guinea pig. You'll have to tell people in game it is one though. Something I'd try would be to on the side view is to make the top of his head not peak just above the top of his body. In my experience, most guinea pigs don't actually look like they have heads, just faces on the front of their bodies.

Aaahhh... This reminds me of my old guinea pigs.
This sprite's great, simply great. It definatiley looks like one of them.
But I think, Inq's right with his "face on body"-theroy :biggrin:

When you look at the guinea pig on this pic you can see it.
You can almost draw a line, there's almost no head.
And maybe make his "head" a bit more peaked.

But whatever, I love it anyhow! :thumb:

You need a popcorning animation. When excited, cavies repeatedly jump and purr all around. It's the most adorable thing ever.

Also, I agree that the final touch should be to cut off part of the butt. Guinea pigs are wedges!
