Guillaume777's Multi-Slot: Specific Weapons Slots

I was wondering if it were possible to make certain weapons only equipable under certain weapon slots? For instance, a grappler in my game would have four weapon slots by the end. Two hands, two feet. Any idea on how to get that to work?
 
Weapon slots cannot have specific weapons assigned to them. It wasn't designed to emulate a feature like 'large weapons' in the first two and 'smaller weapons' go into the weaker last two arms.

It has an offhand weapon feature where a weapon like a 'broadsword' can use only weapons without the 'require offhand' tag (like daggers?). But it doesn't have a system to link certain weapons to certain ... hands.
 
Guillaume777 left the scene 6 months ago after finishing this system. When he came back, he appreciated that his system was still fairly popular and game me the 'last' version he had to post. I can safely say that he's done working on this one. It is final.

He does admit that it was put together piece by piece as requests were filled so it is less structured than desired. But he also hope that it inspires other scripters to design their own or to add additional features to this already existing system.

Am I correct in understanding that you can't have shields and off-hand weapons share the same slot? For instance, could you have either two daggers equipped, or one dagger (or a sword) and a shield? I'd love to be able to consolidate those two slots into one. ^^

And I'm sorry, DerVVulfman; I always seem to be piping up with questions for you. ^^;
 
Shields can only be in the 'Shield' slot, not in a 'hand/weapon' slot which is the only cosmetic drawback to this system. Likewise, swords can't go into the shield slot. But if you fill up your hands with weapons, any shield equipped will get removed. And if you equip a shield, one of your weapons get's unequipped. NOTE: I don't know of any equipment script that doesn't do it this way.

Right, that's what I figured. The cosmetic drawback is quite a drawback for me though. =/ It's an amazing script though, and I still intend to use it, but it would be great if that one little aesthetic were worked out. ;)
 
One thing, on sheilds. Get rid of them.



Hah. I mean, make them weapons with 0 Att (I use 50 cause I want it to do some damage). Change the 'shield' name to something else, then find the line that says what equip is considered shield, then change it to something like 9 or 56. Higher than any equip number.

Just an idea I thought of. (Yes, it allows for dual weilding shields. But isn't that awesome anyway?)
 
Well... some Vikings or other Warrior-types had 'spikes' or blades in the center of their shields, so it isn't hard to believe at any rate. You just don't have an EVADE bonus in their stats or an Armor 'Kind' flag to show it as a shield.

And with G777's script, you can dual equip shields, quad-equip helmets (a 4 headed hero is possible with this one... yeesh), or whatever you design anyway... ;)
