(Guidance: Tales of Crysta) Serenity - A village/small town theme.

Hi guys :D Just finished working on this piece of music for my game a little while ago and thought I'd upload it here to see if it makes the cut :P (I dont like the last part, with the oboe but that might just be me) This piece took my about 2 days (not full days, 26 hours more or less) to make and is a small town/village theme so i made it as peaceful and calming as i could. This is my first real attempt at composition and is the first song i've made, please be kind xD
All comments, good or bad are welcome.
(Ps. How do you change the levels? When theyre in FL Studio theyre set right at the level i want them but when i export they all change >_<)

New link further down, please no one use this piece of music without my permission first.

Good effort, you have all the right pieces. The only problem is some of the instruments sound out off-beat and the notes being played are a little sloppy. I would go back through all the tracks and tighten things up a bit.

On that site people can still download it

People downloading and using your music isnt something HUGE to worry about. The best thing to do is set it to a normal uploader site and set a disclaimer saying not to use it without permission. You'll get more people to listen and enjoy your music.

The way you have it now is fine if your music is being sold for money, even then if someone really wanted it they could record it and use it.

Either way, its much easier to put on a site like zshare.net or rapidshare.com.

Hope that helps :3

Ok, I listened to it.

To be honest it was super messy. The background vocals and soft violin sounds really smear a nice counter melody that you might want. The piano melody was too simple, and the whole time I was trying to get into it, and kept finding myself getting lost. Plus, the tempo counteracts the piano giving it a uneven melody, meaning that some notes should be held longer than others.

Try adding a low brass sound instead of the vocals and make the piano the same through the whole peice (the way it starts) instead of changing when the new piano part comes in. Change that part with a soft wind sound, such as a piccolo or a flute and slow the tempo down a bit. Also try adding some percussion; wind chimes, glockenspiel or some suspended cymbals (with crescendos) to emphasize the main theme.

This can be a great piece of music, and I heard some good things in there. Keep it up and youll have great music in no time flat :3

Hope my crit helped.
