Grande Starting

This is just a really short "intro" piece. It is powerful and a little dark. My initial thought was to create something that introduced a dark character or plot - something that was important to the story.

Sounds neat. I think a swelling crescendo involving the string section would be fitting towards the end.

I actually kept it near the middle-end because I wanted it to be able to loop decently if it absolutely had to. That's why I had it die down a little. Heh.

I understand. A solution, although one you might not want to take, would be to make it a tad longer, add the crescendo and then have it resolve on a softer phrase that would lead back up to the beginning. Either way I enjoyed it, very effective.

The first thing that popped into my head when I was listening is that it sounds like something you'd hear around machinery: either on a train or in some kind of warehouse with giant robots.

It's not really dark in a conventional sense, but it seems fitting for a dark place

Yes, it's available for use. The official terms are on the download page, but to sum it up: no commercial use. Other than that, maybe just a little credit in the game somewhere. lol

I don't know much about music, so all I can say is nice job on another gorgeous composition . It actually sounds a lot like a very well done theme to a really intense trailer of some sort, so as an opener it'd do great.

Unfortunately poor Illu lost inspirational juice (or he was late for work), that it only came up to a minute! The sample quality is amazing, especially of pretty much the bassdrum, cymbals and thundersheet. Oooh must love the sound of that.. *shivers*
It sounds like something I'd put in CoD, very in the direction of industrial-types.
