It is almost certainly NOT New York - It's Liberty City, with blatant New York Landmarks (Liberty City was New York anyway, I suppose). There are several points in the trailer that read "Liberty City."

It just makes me wonder what the focus of gameplay this time will be - VC's drug dealing and store-robbing? SA's gangsta car jacking and running drivebys for 'da hood'? GTAIII's mafia-centric storyline and missions?

hopefully it'll be a mish mash of all the elements from the previous games, and supposedly there is gonna be multiplayer, so imma be chargin ma lazerz for this october, shoop da woop!!!!!!!1!!!11111

Liberty City = New York

Also, there was a post on Digg yesterday which linked to a site with 10 "hidden facts" from the trailer. One of them was a tiny sign in the background which states "Vice City: $300", so it's debatable as to whether Liberty City is the only city in the game.

x360 only charges for additional content, and not always, but considering it's GTA they will most likely take advantage. But that's up to Rockstar or Take-Two, not really MS.
