but yeah i read the comic thing a couple of weeks ago and all i could think was "opera does this, and opera does this, and opera does that too".

also the guys at work said something about it having massive security issues but i wasn't really paying too much attention to them.

I think I'm gonna give Opera a try.
Also, for all you Chrome people who are worried about Google's info saving ways, try using Iron. It's a modified version of Chrome that doesn't send all your shit to Google.

Opera's ability to render web standards is disappointing. It has a lot of bugs that aren't even present in newer releases of FF2. Once they get up to speed with FF3 or implement webkit as a third rendering engine (IIRC you can make it run off IE7, lulz), it will be a reasonable alternative if you like a really slim browser with less customization options compared to Firefox.
