Inspired by recent DerVVulfman's actions, I've also decided to leave. Maybe for a short time, maybe for a long time. When I joined RMXP.org, I thought, maybe this is the place where I could improve my game making and scripting skills. I joined in November 2007. I kept browsing the forums for like a month or so. I didn't improve a bit. Then I decided. I downloaded as many scripts and games as I can. I started learning how to work in RGSS and RPG Maker XP by myself. This site hasn't helped me at all. All those resources could be found on other sites. The only reason I registered was because my good friend Milky aka kikzmyster did it too. I can see now that he hasn't logged in for more than half a year. Maybe he realized the same things as I did.
And a few words of advice for new members and wannabe scripters:
-Don't request a script as soon as you think of one! Instead try making it! Maybe you'll not succeed, but your scripting skills will improve a little bit. If you do this often, you'll improve a lot.
-Study how basic things work first! You can't start working on an ABS script with absolutely no idea how ABS works.
-Read other people's work! Study how they did something that you're having trouble with.
-Don't throw away any of your ideas. Nothing is difficult if you know how to do it. And even if you don't know how to do it, try.
And a message to RMXP.org staff: You're not bad people. You just give a bad example. You ask people to be polite, while you are not. Of course, this doesn't apply for all staff members (SephirothSpawn and khmp, you two have been my heroes since the day I joined RMXP.org. Keep making good scripts and god bless you.)
Best wishes to you all, Haki!
