Golden Fang: Hope

A project I'm actually serious of. This one is about wolves, which I just darn love. Anyway, the term 'Golden Fang' is named because none of the main wolf characters, a Legend wolf named Tsukikaze has like fur that's very shiny and beige. The term 'Hope' is for the game's story and to possibly hint that I may make more of Golden Fang series. Screw me.

Story Synopsys:

In the small yet pitiful kingdom of Aganstia(pronounced as A-gan-sti-ah), many wolves used to roam peacefully with freedom hunting for food, and back then there was only a few villages. But soon there was a big gap betewn their food supply when humans started to build more houses, more villages. Chopping down tree's, scaring away the elk and small game. Wolves became hungry and homeless soon, and quite a few started to die.

Having no choice, the wolves decided to banish the treaty of leaving the humans alone. They went to a few villages and attacked it, enjoying the sweet taste of meat and blood from the humans they've killed. Then the remaining villagers and townsfolk got word from Sir Micheal, one of King Alex's finest knights. They all got togather and went into a killing rampage, killing the wolves. And very soon, the wolf population greatly dropped. There was only five grey wolves remaining, and very single red wolf in the land had died off. Fearing that the other wolf packs would be next. The white wolves and black wolves decided to go to war with the humans, for their suvival. But one grey wolf, Akame, wishes not to go to war, for awhile ago he had heard the "Tsukikaze Wolf Legend" told by one of the elderly wolves before they were killed.

The legend states that when the wolves are getting closed to dying off all togather, a strange wolf by the name of Tsukikaze will shower down from the silver sky to aid in his wolf brotheren. Helping find them their new safe home, a kingdom to call their own. But that would only happen when the moon turns red, matching Tsukikaze's eyes. Unforuntly, he hasn't appeared next. And the wolf packs had already killed alot of humans in a village, and alot more wolves died as well. Including Akame's father and sister who joined the war.

Now there only being a few wolves in each pack now, Akame can no longer stand it and decides to find their new paradise himself for everyone. But then the moon glows red and then fades to blue. If the legend was true, why did Tsukikaze didn't come? And what's with the blue moon? All answered in due time.

Akame, Male
Looks: Grey wolf with a white muzzle, his mother was once a white wolf, mentioned dead before the war.
Bio: Akame is a often timid wolf, but knows to never run or hide if trouble arises. He knows somewhat in his heart that the wolves will find their paradise, although many of them are still doubtful. He also knows that humans can still be good even though many of them are cruel and heartless, that explains why Akame dosen't like to fight humans.

Sasha, Female
Looks: All grey, but the only grey wolf with a brown nose. She is a good hunter and fighter, which explains the scar on her muzzle.
Bio: Sasha is the kind of wolf that easily gets annoyed, deeply annoyed. Almiost a single mean comment can make her utterly revenge, it is said that her anger makes her stronger in battles. She is also sarcastic and can easily throw an insult at someone. However she loves her friends, and can always sense when something bad is about to happen.

Hiro, Male
Looks: All grey, and has some floppy fur on his head.
Bio: Hiro despises the humans, many even more than a normal wolf. He often wishes for them to share the emotional pain and suffering that the wolves have been suffering for awhile. However his wishes are always stopped when Akame tells him off. He wants to kill the humans, but he is always loyal to his friends.

I think he meant that people with 'wolf' in their username will like it The second paragraph of the story reminds me of Wolf's Rain a little and I don't think putting other video game characters into will work if you know what I mean. Best to stick with original characters than using others. Only thing is about making it more natural. Will it just be leveling up and strength increases and such or what?

And yes, I liked the idea. It's unusual to see a game in which humans are not the main characters.

Yes I know I sounds a tad bit like Wolf's Rain, but ideas to help tweak the story to be more original would be greatly nice.

The cameo thing was a bit of a joke, I guess no one realized that.

And yes, leveling up.. like the normal way.

Yeah, but the faces are too big to use as facesets. So I can't really use facesets I think.

You have a very interesting idea here, even if it does remind me of Wolf's Rain somewhat. It's definately an original idea to make an RPG with wolves as the protagonists rather than humans or humanoid beings. I would love to see more in the future.

That's becuase they are grey wolves, so I tried to put some looks on them.

Well, to make different faces, do things with shapes of the head, eyes, etc. Though most anime humans are only seperated by hairstyle, eyes and subtle differences like scars and piercings, that doesn't mean you have to follow that. I could attempt drawing those 3 wolfs for you, without colour though, but no more. PM me if interested. (this offer only goes for critter_girl, I do not wish to have random people to pm me to draw for them)

Also, though the idea of wolves as main characters is definately interesting, their personalities are somewhat plain. As is the story. Though unfamiliar elements such as the wolves make it harder to think of a story, you should still try to come with something better. Unless you'd like the more critical people to say; the concept was nice, but it got executed very poorly, such a shame. Because that's what it seems to me if the project continues. A good concept demands a proper excecution. Of course, making the game is for your own pleasure, but if you wish to entertaim a larger audience...

Also, the title should be changed in my opinion, it may have a good meaning, but it sounds poor to me.

Yes I know the title needs to be chnaged. But most of the good titles are taken.

This game I am taking is more for my fun and to see what I can come up with, there are surprises and twists in the gameplay which I didn't mention in my topic.

As for the wolf personality, I'm still working on them. Their personality's will be better in the game, dun worry.

I'd love to create a game story completely based around wolves (our game does have wolf and dragon-like creatures to use, though). You've come up with a nice story. Perhaps it is a little bit too much like Wolf's Rain, but the golden wolf could prove a vital differential.
