Gnomish/Dwarvish?

Here's a song I'm considering finished as I'm sick of working on it. Its a BGM loop for a town in my game that is populated by a race that is sort of a cross between a Gnome and a Dwarf... Haven't really come up with a name for them yet. My main goal for this song was to make it sound a bit goofy or "off" as if it were being played by a slightly intoxicated gnome band. :thumb:

I was also wondering if anyone knows if the .ogg format will work for looping as .mp3 doesn't. I tried exporting to an .ogg but there is still a "pop" when it loops. I noticed there was already a thread posted on this very subject but unfortunately none of the tips that were given made any difference for me. For some reason Magix Music Maker wont export a midi arrangement to a .midi file. Like I said in my earlier post, I'm completely new to this type of thing so any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Sorry bout that. No idea what happened. It was working before...anyway it works now.

You nailed the "off" sound you were going for. I love it! It sounds like a slow Irish pub song. That breakdown at 1.37 is perfect. It comes in at just the right time and is still interesting enough to keep me from being bored. The build up from there is great too. It's just right and very addicting!

I don't know about the file type looping issue. You can try a free program called "Audacity." It's a meaty program so you'll probably be able to figure something out. I would try having the last three milliseconds fade out. That might knock out the popping sound. I hope this helps. Again, great song.
