it works better when you're not just posting the link to your portfolio, but also give direct examples
for example

SONGTITLE #1
*a brief description of the song, the theme and the instruments
a link to a stream of the song

SONGTITLE #2
*a brief description of the song, the theme and the instruments
a link to a stream of the song

etc.

yeah man im cool with website marketing, but would you please add some links to some tracks? Also, read over samot's post, he makes some good ideas on how to present your music.

I'll give you 24 hours to edit your post d:eek:

edit: youve had more than enough time to edit it, and seeing by your post count I dont think you intend on coming back. This isnt a dump forum, we have a thread for that.

PM me or another mod with a better thread and ill be glad to unlock this :)

oooh I'm digging "Fight for what is right!" It has that GuiltyGear/BlazBlue speed/riffing with snesRPG flavor.

thanks ghur for fixing this man!

fight for what is right is awesome, reminds me of a megaman x track. The synth chords mix perfectly with the guitar riffs, and the solo is awesome. Sounds a tad like Chrono Trigger soundfonts in the chorus, great work man

vic moment sounds like a sakuraba-esque composition. the triplets sound a tad rushed and out of place, but besides that the rhythm is solid. The soft bell sounds doesnt sound very strong imo, but the melody is somewhat catchy.

jap relaxation sounds very interesting. The layers are cool, and the background chorus has an ambient feel too it, which mixes quite well. The accordion (i think?) melody sounds abit out of place though, and the beginning is looping into repentance pretty quickly.

i apologize for not reviewing all of your music; im in a bit of a rush today, but your music is really good man. please hang around here for a bit :)

thats some nice stuff u got there man!
i just listened to some of ur songs and some of them really reminds me of motoi sakuraba's compositions

the beginning of "fight for what is right!" when u hear that piece it really lets u wanna fight and crush the monsters! :shades:
it can easily be used in a commercial classic rpg game :) and the synth and guitar throughout the song really makes it 1 whole piece. i like it

the victory theme kinda sounds too epic at the beginning imo. maybe more for a worldmap but after hearing the bells it really gave me a victory feeling tho
like Atlet said it kinda sounds like a sakuraba comp. but other than that very good songs man!

btw what was the link to ur portfolio again or can u post the song "beyond the hills" here? i really liked that song too

I listened to 'fight' & 'Victorious'

I really like 'fight'. excellent balance of instruments. A little predictable, but that's ok. (I expected the guitar riff to come back in right where it did.) 2 small gripes: it seems a little off balance. (guitar all on the right, but nothing tipping the scale back to the left.) Maybe try offsetting it with the bass on the left??? Also, the bass seems too distorted. I expect that's the sound you were going for, I just prefer it a little cleaner at the bottom end.

Victorious also seems a little heavy on the right. (I checked my earphones after hearing it twice, but I'm pretty sure it's the mix.) The melody is great, and the backing instruments are also well balanced. The drums are kinda boring in this piece.

Nice work!

I'll try to listen to the rest & get back to ya.

P.S. what's your policy on your work being 'leveraged'. It's good enough that someone might want to use it.

to Brewmeister : about the mix on ''fight...'', well i'm avoiding "pile all in the middle", coz in a tight mix we must pan some to left or right, or everything might sounded muddy..but for most case the main theme was always in the mid or a little to left/right.

please contact me for my policy, thank you :)
