Gensokyo Everyday's story

Setting
This game takes place in the land of Gensokyo, a land hidden away from the modern world by a magical barrier. There magical beings known as Youkai exist side by side with humans. The peace is kept by a few powerful and heroic individuals including the Shrine maiden of the border Hakurei Reimu. This is not to say that a magical catastrophe could spring up at any moment.
Plot
This one is kind of hard to put into words since this game is non linear to the extreme. There are several goals and dozens of ways to achieve them ranging from mollifying an Oni so she doesn't mess up your reputation with the town's people, intervening in a centuries old battle between immortals in order to increase newspaper circulation and bringing radio to a land of magic. These and many more things are possible.
Characters
There are dozens but here are some of the more important ones
Reimu Hakurei
Job Shrine Maiden
Reimu is known as the heroine of Gensokyo as she has saved the land several times. However when Gensokyo isn't under dire peril she tends to slack off which results in her receiving few donations. If you play her scenario your goal is to change this so she can make a regular living as a Miko.

Sakuya Izayoi
Job Maid
Sakuya is the head maid of the scarlet devil mansion. She has a reserved and some would say icy demenor. She is noted for her ability to stop time as well as her skill at throwing knives. If you play her scenario your goal is to make sure you stay on the good side of your boss Remilia, who can be quite demanding.

Marisa Kirisame
Job Witch
Although she is a human girl Marisa is a skilled witch who is as powerful as Reimu. She is hard working and energetic and also has a penchant for taking things that don't belong to her.

Yukari Yakumo
Job Youkai (none really)
Known as the border Youkai Yukari is arguably the strongest being in Gensokyo. Her age measuring in centuries Yukari has a penchant for manipulation as well as sleeping a lot, which could be a good thing. Takes an interest in Reimu.

Remilia Scarlet
Job Vampire (probably inherited her wealth)
Even though Remilia is just over 500 years old she still looks like a young lady. She is known to be something of a brat. She is also the owner of the Scarlet Devil Mansion and has several servants.

Patchouli Knowledge
Job tutor
Keeper of the library of the Scarlet Devil Mansion Patchouli is a quite person who would love nothing more than to spend the entire day, no month reading.

Sanae Kotiya
Job Shrine maiden
Sanae works and lives in the Moriya shrine which at the top of Youkai mountain. She is a newcomer to Gensokyo and doesn't know everything about the place yet.

Alice Margatroid
Job Witch
Another witch who lives in the forest of Magic Alice is known for her ability to command and animate dolls. She frequently runs into trouble with Marisa.

I think most people would walk away from this game and never look back. Mainly because it looks like this was your first game and people would wait until you've done a little more before offering advice.

Normally when I download I game I open a text file and write down any flaws or comments as I play through the game. I don't even know were to start.
You weren't kidding when you said it was a non linear. You are just dropped down and set to roam the game trying to figure out what to do. This quickly became a problem. Some places you can enter but can't leave. Some places you are transported onto a tree or impassible tile. I had to restart a lot. These are game stopping errors that you need to weed out through play testing.
The game maps are needlessly spaced out. Most of the npc have nothing relevant to say "hello, I am fairy"
When you play as Reimu you at least get a introduction scene. With Dialog, sometimes the speaker's name is displayed on a separate line or the same line as the rest of the text. Some people use a script or character portraits to distinguish between who's speaking. You can also change the text color of the names.

Since you left your project unencrypted I was able to look at how you went about making everything. There are a lot of blank events laying around on the maps. Most of them starting with conditional branches and trigger by the action button. You aren't really using page events or switches. I was wondering why all the characters were female. I know there's a name for fantasy worlds with nothing but women in them.

So googling the name gensokyo I found the Touhou project also known as also known as Toho Project or Project Shrine Maiden series. It would have been nice to know that before hand. :|:

1.Dang I thought I weeded all of them out. I guess I need to be more thorough.
2.I was wondering what to do since xp doesn't have facesets. I guess frequent use of show picture.
3.I guess I need to work on making this a more directed game.
Overall thanks for the advice.

I totally missed the "Touhou fangame" on the titlescreen. I guess I was distracted by the green text on brown boxes and cloud background. The forum has a resource request section, as long as it's something simple I'm sure another member would offer to make something for you if you don't have the proper programs to do it yourself. Gimp is a free program that you can download that works a lot like photoshop. Whenever you save a graphic you should save it as ".png"; your titlescreen looks grainy because you saved it as a low resolution jpeg.

There's so much advice I could give you but I'll let you learn a little on your own and ask questions on the forum about how to do stuff.
