GederethM Workshop

Thank you, Kieara ^^.

But to you nexS, I think I agree. Hadn't noticed the lack of detail.

EDIT::

Alright Tileset's'll be up in a minute...

EDIT::

Done!

Your problem with the trees is that you aren't thinking three-dimensionally, and beyond that you're working from linework. Outlines are the way to go with lots of things, but trees and other natural objects need to flow in a more natural way. I'd suggest starting with bulk shapes that you can add detail onto afterwards.

@Despain: I'm sorry but this sucks... God, I wish I weren't lazy.

I'm sorry but I'm gonna keep the trees, at least until I'm done with the tileset or I get pestered for it. Thanks for the comment. I'll use it somehow.

@Blood_Puppet: Wat!?! there is no such thing, is there? unless your talkin' about the tallish bush, I don't understand that natural symetry thing. Ludacris. lol

@Kieara: Thanks.. lol

I added some Autotiles for the tileset and some Autotile suggestions that already in the RTP. Thanks for the comments and suggestions.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Symmetry_%28biology%29#Bilateral_symmetry

A tree, unless hindered by obstruction or asymmetrical lighting, will keep a relative Bilateral Symmetry between it's halves.

Isn't that just beautiful?

When you get around to it, Despain's foliage is pretty "solid", so I'll be looking forward to your finished version, sasuke.

I think the confusion came from the misunderstanding that when you said symmetrical, the mental image was an exact replica on both sides. Bilaterial symmetry refers more to the individual leaves itself..it's an approximate symmetry (the wiki article you've provided is very nice in explaning that in nature exact is rare) not an exact/ the tree that you show isn't exactly symmetrical. In fact it seems to favor the right side quite a bit more ^^;

It's asking too much for a whole tree to be symmetrical, I said they have a relative Bilaterally Symmetry, meaning that although it was not documented by the wiki article, what applied to the leaves and their vascular bundles was relative because they are all subject to botanical ramification.

Common sense would tell someone trees aren't perfectly symmetrical. A tree's branches' directions mirror each other in most trees, but sasuke's leans to one side and the branches don't expand enough in relation to the enormous trunk.

sasuke, when you get to the tree, those squares of highlighted leaf - don't do that. It doesn't look right, because the highlights shouldn't all be exactly alike.

Here's a SoM tree.

Hope that helps a little.
