I was forwarded this link by a mate of mine (a VERY heaver smoker) and I was quite impressed with the whole concept.
Every smoker knows that after a while, cigarettes can bring down your health dramatically, this is due to the thousands of chemicals that one single stick contains. Why do we harm our bodies with these things? Because they're addictive and we crave the nicotine. Not only that, millions of people a year die from second hand smoke, and I think it's outrageous.
The product you see in the link above is an electronical alternative to conventional cigarettes but with none of the harmful chemicals. It tastes like a cigarette, you get the smoke like a cigarette, but all the thing does is give you nicotine in a safe way. I personally think this is quite impressive and if the advertising and sales go in the right direction, I think it's the future of smoking.
Good points:
1. It's physical shape is the same as a cigarette
2. it smokes like a cigarette
3. It cures your nicotine craving without the harm
4. It is not under the "smoking ban" laws and can be used indoors legally
Bad points:
1. They are only sold in selected places (mainly on the web)
2. The cartridges are not as convenient to buy as conventional cigarettes
3. Most governments make a large percentage of their revenue on tobacco sales and most civilised countries are in outrageous debt
4. They're barely advertised
I personally might try one of these and give you all a little more insight. I know there aren't a lot of smokers on the forum (because most are 12 or below) so it won't be much use, but it's certainly worth a read when it's saving most of the planet from disease.
