Game publishing help!

Hi! There has always been a little hard to compress a RPG Maker XP Project (Enchrypted) and extracting it.
The Extraxt process can often only be done under 'Downloads' or on the Desktop, especially when you DOWNLOAD a game file. If elsewhere the extraction often fails, even if the size is under 120 MB.

So here I need som help. When I tested a game I uploaded on Megaupload, I downloaded it on another computer, extracted to the desktop and it worked. But when I start the game in the folder (RGSS Player) an error comes up saying: 'Cannot find RGSS0303library.dll'.

The strange thing with this is that it is automatically made an RGSSad.dll file when you compress. And that file should include the RGSS library. I need help here and don't you agree it's hard to publish your game so others can download correctly?

Btw this game was ca 55MB. I need to know why this comes up and how Help plz!!

You need to include the .dll in your project folder before compressing. Most likely "RGSS102E.dll" (although the newest version might be RGSS104E.dll)
If it's looking for "RGSS0303library.dll", that means you've edited your Game.ini file. I would suggest restoring it to point to the correct library.
And no, it will not be included as part of the Game.rgssad file. It will be a separate file in the game folder.

There are several tutorials for distributing your game (without the RTP). Look them up.

The other option is to install the RTP on the other computer.

What is the game. ini file then? And where di I find this RGSS library file? because I need it don't I?

Ok answer this please:) I have set RTP1 (and all others as well ofc) to 'none'. After this I imported EVERY graphic I used from the standard RTP (RGSS Library). So now I only have RED dots (Imported files) in my materialbase. Is this enough, or do I need to do anything more to get it working on a computer WITHOUT RGSS? Is this enough to set it free from RGSS?

In the tutorial, WHERE Shall you export all your graphic to? Is Game.rgssad the RGSS library?

And does it change anything when I make new projects if I export my graphic into RGSS?

Export tilesets to <My_Project>\Graphics\Tilesets, Export characters to \Graphics\Characters... etc...
Don't use the Export function on Audio files, just copy them from the RTP to your project.

When you Export, you are essentially copying resources from the RTP (C:\Program Files\Common Files\Enterbrain\RGSS\Standard\...) to your project folder.
Do not copy anything into the RTP. Or it will effect any new projects you create.

Game.rgssad gets created when you compress & encrypt your game. It is the encrypted version of the \Data & \Graphics folders from your project.

If all your game resources are in your game project folder, you don't need the RTP anymore.
Just set it to "None". You don't need to re-import anything, unless you missed something.

So now I can just upload the game? Or do I need to put this dll file into the project folder?

Brew really kinda said it all already... if you want the game to be playable without the RTP, you need to include the dll (more exactly the RGSS10XY.dll, where X is the version you're using, and Y the language code) in the same directory as Game.exe is in, or whoever tries to play it will encounter an error.
