Game Maker6 doesn't work on w7

I am using Game Maker 6.0. The problem is that I do have Windows 7 and not gameemaker 6 nor any gm6 programs works on w7. In was going to copy everything into gm8 that I bought some days ago, but how shall I doi when I can't even open gm6? I mean I need an wXP computer do fo this!

Is there any other way to save my lost games, and/or 'transfering' them into gm8? Or is there in any way possible to run gm6 in w7?

From Wikipedia:

Versions 6.x and the .exe files from those versions do not work with the Microsoft Windows Vista or the Windows 7 operating system, due to an incompatible compression implementation in its creation of executable files.

So, unfortunately, is impossible.

And what about the transfer GM6 projects to GM8 ... As I know, GM8 not work with older versions. But GM7 works with projects of GM6, and it runs on Windows 7. Maybe you should try it?

With transfering, I mean to copy everything from a gm6 game into gm8 (But you need to have Gm6 open, which doesn't work). Yes gm6 games works very well in gm8, IF you have the full version. But thats not my problem, I wanna save my lost gm6 games as gm8 files. Is THAT possible anyhow?
