Game Auto-Corrupts?

So I worked about 45 hours (a real 45 hours though, without sleep, though spread apart within a few days) on a project and it worked perfectly. I was really proud; however, my computer froze upon launching and now the game gives me errors such as "cannot read character [something rather]". My game refuses to launch.

I redid it. My computer froze again. I now receive the error "cannot read common events [something rather]". My game refuses to launch from RPG Maker XP and when I click the .exe in the save file.

I'm becoming a little frustrated. I now copy/paste my saves constantly to make sure I don't waste 90 hours of my life total again.

Is there any way to fix this? I want to regain my data; it's no fun to recreate skills, builds, items, weapons, etc. as well as maps... I love RPG Maker XP but I hate having to repeat myself for a silly reason as such.

Thanks.

I actually got the same exact problem yesterday. The only way I found to be able to open the project is to replace the files it says it cannot load with fresh copies. There are some rxdata editors around, I think. Perhaps you can use one of those to manually patch the broken rxdata files.

Just use this and you shouldn't have to worry too much about issues of your data being corrupted, it automatically creates a backup everytime you run your game. Its easy to use just read the instructions/FAQ on it first and PM me or reply in the topic if you have any issues.
