G-man's Lite Tutorial v1.0:Telling a good story

Hey folks I'm G-man(as if anyone knows me(sigh) ) and I'm here with my first tut on how to tell a story:

Note:I chose this type of layout because I have a VERY short attention span, and I am attracted to colorful stuff so...yeah.

1st thing you do: Erase all of your work
2nd:Delete your project
3rd:Give up on the Enterbrain Company, and never buy a program from them again.
nah just kidding but I do need you to close rmxp and think answers to these simple 5 questions:

What is my Setting?- How does your story start out? Was :thumbsup02:Arshes walking through the woods and got sucker punched by Basil, so now he's on a quest of revenge?

What is my Rising Action?- The build up to the climax should be one of the most important things in a game, you can't just let the hero walk in and smack the villian, no, the villian must kill hundreds of people, slowly building up, until Arsh can't take it anymore.

What is my Climax?- C'mon now folks this is the most exiting part of the game!!! Everything seems lost when....Sirus arrives and pulls the heros out of the battle, and escapes on a Chocobo

How about my falling Action?- Alright so everyone's saved but this is what is known as the Calm Before the Storm the final battle's tomorrow, so everyone is relaxing, right around the time to slap a love scene in there, great now we get to watch Arshes and Gloria make out in their battler graphics.

What about the conclusion- The ending, you get to put that massive 324 hour rpg to bed with some warm milk and cookies. NOTE: if you plan to add a sequel you shouldn't leave a cliffhanger, just incase you never get back around to it, sequels are supposed to be like surprises, no seen it coming but are happy when it does, you should at least lead the player to thinking the story is over. Well I'll be! Arshes came through after all, Basil was sucker punched back and the day is saved, now Arshes and Gloria can get married and- oh sorry, it's a sequel coming out.

Alright because I needed to make this tut a little longer I produce:
G-man's do's and don'ts of gamemaking yay!:D

do plan your story out before starting it.

do update project topics occasionally

don't Ever have stereotypes in a serious, type game, parodies are
ok, but they have a limit as well

don't spend too much time talking about the project on the forums, then never actually never get around to working on it.

do remember story is the first priority, a game can still be awesome with rtp graphics, music, and scripts

don't
get so caught up in scripts, that you neglect the story....I mean come on guys a script that organizes other scripts in the database? XD

do beta test

do read up on tutorials(which you must be doing b\c you're reading this)

don't play mmo's(lol this is my personal one, I said this because ot really slows production, even if it can offer story ideas)

do grammer check

do make sure your game works encrypted before uploading

Once your game is in demo\completion stages:

do try putting it up on as many forums as possible

don't mass release without major beta testing(even then it's still likely to have bugs)

lol obviously there's not much here b\c I haven't completed my first game yet. XD

G-man I know you!

Although if you want my hones opinion, all this seems pretty basic. Although it is colourfull and fast I think you might want to add more information.

Overall very good and could be very helpfull if...

The exemples were better. Im sure you wanted to joke somehow in the climax part, and im sure what you are thinking is the right thing but the exemple dosen't "Light up" someone (the difference between knowing and realizing).
