- removed clouds left bottom
- made 'broken' thread longer
- let rainbows bounce
- added sparkles 'n shine
- removed ship
- added ship [link]
- etc.

I think its a big improvement (esp. the overall picture) from the first version.

gotta title stuff, so 'flight of the orbs' is not to be taken too seriously.
anyway, I've been busy with this piece for a couple of days now..
and it seems to be constantly taking me farther away from where I want it to go.
So, while it's still unfinished, I ask you lot for advice.

but obviously I started out on the wrong foot by doing a bright background..

Anyway, obviously it isn't finished, so I'm asking you for idea's, basically.
Things I could add, etc.

Edit: I just blended a green layer over it all, and erased some important parts,
and that looked really a lot better than these colors.

there you go, though zoomed in is better, because you see the cool 'noise', and details..
what browser are you on, and what resolution do you have, by the way?

I'm using Opera, and my resolution is on 1280x1024 (I can go double this, but then everything seems so small, lol)

And I really like the first to be honest, it seems more colourful, although I'd change the big... orb ? (Looks like a bubble, lol) to maybe a light blue or pink.

Overall the idea of the picture is really nice, it's definitely different, lol.

In opera, I suppose you don't get to see the picture zoomed out at first, do you?
this is the case with firefox (and I believe IE too but idc) so I didnt really think that through.

Anyway, I made that big one black to have a bit contrast in the picture from the bright left to the dark right, and to have a bit of a theme in it overall, like the good side on the left vs. the dark side on the right. (not sure about the rainbow though, but meh.) Though I'm puzzled about what to do next.

When you're zoomed out it looks good enough, but when I'm zoomed in, shit feels empty, so I want to add a shitload of details. I'm going to do that anyway, but not at the moment, because it's already 3 in the morning, and I'm pretty tired. :]

If you were to make the clouds on the yellow pic as nice as you did in the green, like giving it nice colors and such, then you could keep the clouds. The only thing now that gives me the impression that it's a "Flight" is the ship. Other than that, it's very abstract and very beautiful!

Yeah, I'm going to use the clouds in another work of mine, I thought it cluttered the work a bit.. and they stood out from the rest.

On deviantart I've given it the name 'Rainbow wars', after I took out the hot air balloons and clouds. the name is really just because there has to be one.. actually it's nameless piece #234, until people suggest a good name.
