this seems like the kind of game catered to the neckbeareded moutbreather who says "epic fail" out loud and then chuckles at himself when he (purposely) drops his books when walking by a pretty girl at school.

apparently there's some storyline -- that Deep Throat parody dude is probably the most major element in that regard, the rest of them are just there to hand out assignments.

this game is really lame in places and I don't get a lot of the stuff going on aside from "hey, that's certainly very random, I wonder if it's from the internet," but it's pretty fun and has some decent balance. if you can manage to choke down the INTERNET IS MY LIFE bits, des, you should be pleasantly surprised.

That's kinda lame though when they go on about the game being free; but I guess it's cheaper than other MMORPG's if it's just a one off fee (I can't moan, I'm paying £38.40 /yr for RuneScape :x)

that gif is an excellent example of runescape's gameplay. it gets more realistic the longer you let it loop.

They've completely overhauled the graphics since then, but whatever, some people like it, most people hate it.



(But yeah, the game does really suck. I don't play it for the game though; my friends don't chat over IRC or MSN or anything like that so I go online to chat with them and do co-op stuff and whatever.)
