FOR THE LOVE OF GOD HELP ME [Arrow problems in menus]

Soo.. Ive got RPG Maker XP and it was fine up until today. Now on the menu it'll only let me press up but in the game itll constantly move down.

Ive uninstalled and reinstalled. Restarted several times. It's NOT the keyboard.
The fact that theres behavioural differences at the title screen and game itself should tip you off to that.

Anyway any clues?

If you're sure it's not the keyboard, I need to ask the standard question: do you have any scripts that might be affecting this? You say you've uninstalled and reinstalled, but if you're keeping your project files, a clean version of the program isn't going to help if it's the project itself.

Started new games. Loaded old games with no scripts. Can't be the scripts. Most definitely some type of bug. Friend on another forum had the same problem and restartin a ton of times helped him. Hasn't helped me -_-

This happened to me... but only with the illegal version. The proper version works fine for me, so if you're using the illegal version, your tell-tale silence will be ignored. However, if you are using the proper version, then I can't help you. Google it, ask Enterbrain... just keep trying. Oh, and try a different keyboard. Just in case this bug is indeed a coincidence.

I havet he legal version, and i happened twice, in tle titlescreen, i keep pressing down until it randomly hitted something,

Now it's fixed..it happens sometimeso n the menu, I think it was becous my "title screen horizontal" script.

¬¬..thanks.. it took me HOURS to copy,paste and compose and script wich displays the title options horizontaly.. ¬¬
