TERIYAKI FLAVOURED BEEF JERKY
My rating:
When I was a child, I was super picky about what I ate. I wouldn't eat anything red, cranberry sauce had to be called jell-o for me to taste it, hamburger patties were "round steaks" or else I wouldn't eat them, you get the picture. Throughout my life, I've experienced a lot of self-deprivation, especially in regards to food. One thing I was NEVER keen on tasting was beef jerky, for reasons I cannot think of besides the idea of dried meat being packaged and sold. Just yesterday I had bought my first bag of beef jerky (to put it in perspective, I'm bloody 20 years old), and to my surprise, I proper enjoyed every bite of it.
The aroma when opening the bag is a strong smoked beef smell, mixed with (of course) teriyaki that makes your mouth water. The texture of the beef is chewy and semi-tough, which adds to the allure of the food since I feel like a manimal as I eat. It only has approx. 250 calories per bag, with the salt content being on the higher end, but that's to be expected with cured meat. I'm actually waiting for the store to open right now so I can get my ass out of the house and buy like 4 bags of this stuff, I've even sacrificed my steak to make my own jerky (the price is rather expensive, around $6.50 for an 80g bag).
I recommend this product even to vegans, it is bloody amazing.

Nandos Sweet Potato Mash
Dunno what you call them in America, yams?
We call them sweet potatoes as well. Most people incorrectly label them as yams, even though yams and sweet potatoes are 2 different things (one is white, the other is orange).
