Font Characters Missing!

Is their a script or any way that I can use other characters e.g Chinese characters in rpg maker VX, when I insert the text into the message box and instead of a Chinese or Japanese character it displays boxes. I think rpg maker uses ASCII font/characters but their a lot of games with unique font styles and some games made with rpg maker in Japanese or was that only for the original...

I would appreciate it if you could help, thanks

You must use a font that supports these characters, for example :
Font.default_name = "MS Gothic"
It's ugly but it works.

O.K, I've never really changed the font for my projects, I am using rpg maker VX, could you tell me where and how I actually do this, I remember their is something in the script-editor to do with fonts, forgot where though... I think I can find the font somewhere online, know a good site?

Go into the script editor to the script called Main (very last script).

Insert:

Font.default_name = "MS Gothic"

Before $scene = Scene_Title.new

Assuming zeus's line is correct because I haven't messed with RM in a while!
