Turns out it was Florence and the Machine.

I'd never heard her before, but she's a really good singer!

I really like her voice! And Cosmic Love is also my favorite of the songs of hers I've found. Dog Days Are Over was pretty interesting, too.

My sister funnily enough bought the CD on the day I found these (amazingly, with no contact, and being 60 miles away haha). I can say that every song off the CD is on youtube, unfortunately, so the CD probably isn't worth getting unless you're really a fan. It is good to have them all in itunes though (and obviously good to support the band!)

Has anybody heard the recent cover of Where is the Love? I'm not sure who it's by.

It's ok and all, but the background track is incredibly annoying and louder than the damn singing.

It turns out "Where is the love" is actually a cover of the really annoying version. Best cover of a song ever, IMO, it is so much better.
