Hello, I'm trying to learn how to create music, which is a little difficult since I have literally zero background in music or composing.
I downloaded FL Studio, and was able to make a short (very short, like 30 seconds) theme song. Now, I only have the demo, so I wasn't really sure if I could use or if I even had other instruments (The only one I could find was rock guitar, piano, and something called 'sytrus')
Here is the song (Take it with a grain of salt, because like I said, I'm an amateur):
I just had some questions for those of you with experience with FL Studio. Besides the instrument question, I had some others.
1. How do you 'pause' the song? Like, make it so it suddenly stops. The only way I could do this was created a new 'pattern' that was blank and insert it in the middle. If there is another way, please tell me.
2. Certain sound types (I don't know the proper name), like the rock guitar [FL Slayer] acted weird. Like, I had it only play for a short while, but it would hold the last note for the entire rest of the song. How do I cut it off completely?
Anyway, I know it isn't the best song ever (Especially considering its length), but I'm still learning and hopefully any/all tips will be helpful. I'd like to be able to create music for my games without relying on the RPG Maker RTP or songs from other games.
