First try at HK Sprites

Hi,
i'm working on a side project, based on pirates of the caribbean with a standalone storyline. i started to sprite the main character, cpt jack sparrow an i would like to have some opinions on that. there are 2 versions of it, one with his normal clothes and one when he's the captain of the black pearl again

That's pretty nice there. It may just be my monitor, but it seems a bit dark. Maybe adjust the color value up a bit. Other than that, it seems to be better than what I can do. I was never any good at Chars, animals or monsters.

It looks pillow shaded but maybe it's just me.:-/

It is pillow shaded. But not a bad try really. Try a much higher contrast pallette. the one you're using barely shows the coltours of the sprite. it is easy to fall into the pillow shading pit using a palette with low contrast.

other than that it's a great start , keep at it.
