First Sprites

Okie...I tried. But eh...Some of them I hate, cause I had to use elements from someone else's sprites (the fat heads....bleh -.- ) for their game they were making.... The newest are the style I want my team's MMORPG to be styled in.

Just don't laugh at my earlier, horrible ones ^^; They wanted 'em semi-chibi so I gav eem semi-chibi...

And my better ones (and the ones that we hopefully use for our MMORPG):

WOW, this is wonderful! I like that you've explored the full possiblities of your own template. U'm you said that your going for a Chibi look? Have you looked at the template sticky above by Venetia? There are some good templates in there in case your wanting to check out other templates.
I'm glad that RMXP's getting budding artists. You guys are our hope for the future. *Stops sounding Soft and Mushy*

Thanks! Well, the people I was working for wanted the chibi look. I've diverted from them and decided to start my own MMORPG project with the newer sprites (which have less possibilities so far, but I'm taking everything from my previous ones and adapting them to fit the new non-chibi sprites.) I will direct the guys who want chibi bases to the thread you pointed me to and see if they can't use anything ^^

Thanks for the comment, I'll have more on my newest bases soon, I hope.

You mean...RPG Maker XP-styled? I've never tried...I'm more into the bigger sprites. But maybe I'll try something more RPG Maker XP-based soon. Not that I've got the time...my MMORPG project, fanmanga projects, and other forums take up all the spare time I really have.

Thanks! I kinda try...with all of the distractions around me at my house >.< I enjoy it anyhow, and my team is relying on me, so I'll just keep it up for sure!

Those are very nice for first tries. Your colors are way over saturated though, you need to work with some softer and lower contrast palettes. Check the tutorial and academy sections, Tana has some great articles on color theory that will go a long way. As I do with every new spriter, I must pimp Graphics Gale: www.humanbalance.net/gale/us/. It is designed for pixel art and is absolutely excellent at it. The freeware version has everything you need to work with RMXP, for a piddling 18 bucks you can save as an animated GIF or Windows CUR (cursor) file as well but other than that the freeware version is fully functional. As always a good tool won't make a bad artist good, but it will help a good artist excel, I highly recommend it! :D
