First Sprite WIP

This is the first sprite I've ever made, just want to get some opinions on it

Always save pixel work in a .png format. When you save it as a .jpeg you lose quality and you get that annoying "dust" around the sprites.

The outline of the jacket is nice but it's pillow-shaded. Try not to have the highlights go straight down the middle of this arms and body.
I don't like the mouth. I'm assuming he's some kind of vampire with black lips and a fang sticking out.
The hair is a nice start. I think it could be a little cleaner. You need to add a shadow on his forehead from the hair.

It's weird though, if i upload it somewhere it turns it into a .jpeg for some reason.

Suggestions on how to do the mouth and possibly how to clean him up?

Jped makes it somewhat hard to judge it but it is terribly pillow-shaded.

Try looking at some pictures or look at your self in the mirror and see how light reflects off people =)

pillow shaded it is to much shaded from the front of it you need another light like on the top of your char

His gloves could use some shading, right now they just look like white blobs.

.bmp files tend to get converted to jpegs. Save it as a .png file.

I actually really like the jacket, other than the pillow shading mentioned (I pillow shade all the time though so I suck at this too lol). The angle of the hair doesn't seem to sit on the head right to me =/ it could be just me, but it seems like the back of the hair is almost floating off the head. The strip of hair in front of the face compared to the hair directly to the left doesn't look right...the guy would have to have SERIOUS gel to keep his hair like that :P
The eyes also look a bit funky but I have a feeling that is because it is saved as a jpeg :P
