Thanks for all the nice comments. I was just wondering if anyone knows how to claer up all those black lines, cause I've seen loads of battlers make by people with thin colourd line not to mention that black outine all the other RTP characters have. I just use the photoshop stamp filter to refine my lines. But seeing as I have a bit of a problem with rambling big senteces that6 usually just make oiine messed up point I'm going to make my question clear...
How do I make the lines look like the rtp?

The pen tool.

It's a long, annoying process, but the more you do it the faster you get at it. If you don't ink your pictures it's sort of the best way to get clean lineart (I find, at least).

Essentially, it goes like this:

1. Scan the sketch.
2. Create a new layer.
3. Set the brush tool to whatever you want your lines to look like; for example, if you want thin, crisp lines, use a 1 pt black hard brush with full opacity.
4. Select the pen tool.
5. Use it to trace a line on your picture. Just do segments at a time; it's a real bad idea to try and do the whole thing all at once. If you're not familiar with the pen tool, this could take some time to get good at.
6. When you've traced a line, right click, click on "stroke path", click "Okay"/push enter, and finally, push delete.
7. Repeat until you've got some lineart.
8. Color underneath the lineart, above it, or on it, if that's your game.

Also, if you really want to make it a LOT easier, invest in a Wacom tablet. They're not terribly expensive... $100 will buy you a small but certainly adequate pen tablet. It takes a few hours of practice to get used to, but after that, drawing becomes a much, much easier process. I don't do this kind of art with mine, but I know people who do. One friend of mine doesn't even draw and scan anymore... he sketches and refines right in photoshop with the pen tablet.

OK so a wacom tablet is one of those things you draw on right......

Anyway I did another one with completely screwed up eyes, I think I'll make a whole bunch in the same style.
