Final Fantasy 7: Dirge of Cerberus

If they put the Online mode back in, I'm sure some more people would be interested. But because of a severe lack of multiplayer, it feels less shooterish and more Action RPGish.

Btw, the one Cait Sith mission sucks.

Is it BAD? No it absolutely frikkin is not.

The game is fun, and the cinematics are awesome, and I enjoyed the storyline as well. Some whiney insults.

no matter what some peoples haughty and perhaps elitist opinion is. If it looks interesting play it. More whiney insults.
I concur with parts of this post, even though the ladder contradicts the former. Listen to yourself. If it looks interesting in that youtube I posted, by all means play it. But it doesnt. I guess every reviewer's an elitist cus the game has a tie with the last Wayans Brothers movie on its metacritic score(5.5, AWSOME).

And for people who play a lot of RPGs, read up on the story. Does it seem interesting? Maybe by the standards of a shooter. But its not, its eye candy. It could of just been a moderately interesting movie, that's all you'll be playing for. Its too easy, and its too slow paced, and it lacks any level of AI. You can download the cinemas online and save yourself the rental fee. I wish I did. But do what you want, I dont recall ever calling you names to support my feelings on the game even if some ^^ fanboys insist on doing so, Im just trying to save some people the regret they felt after buying this steaming pile.

I didn't call you names, I called your opinion in this matter a name. A game is more than a sum of its parts, so even if the AI is bad and you don't like the pacing doesn't mean it's bad. Plenty of good games have even worse AI, and even worse pacing. Unless of course pacing and AI are the only thing you're looking for. And a youtube video of a secret ending that's more of a throwback to a bizarre Japanese rockstar than anything isn't exactly damning of the plotline. That first quote isn't whiny insults either, it's a statement of a differing opinion that makes no mention of you except that I disagree.

And you are being haughty, you run around spitting out your judgement like it's scripture. Are you really denying that? You seem pretty self assured.

Also, have I mentioned I don't care what critics say? I've liked games that got bad ratings and didn't like games that got great ratings *cough*Halo 2*cough*

To be frank, I get offended when people directly insult things I like with no tact to speak of, and I know I'm not alone.

OK, I'm double posting because I beat Dirge of Cerberus, and there was nothing at all wrong or laughable about the secret ending, although it was kind of confusing. So I watched the video you posted. (I had assumed it was the secret ending I had already seen online and didn't even watch it.) Turns out, that wasn't even the ending at all. There were still like two full missions after that.

Also, I thought that video was hilarious. Never thought of that part that way, but then again it's pretty heavily edited, and I don't go out of my way to be a cynic.

I found the features of this game very intresting. But I hate how again they are milking the FF7 franchise for everything its worth. Like come up with a new story.....oh wait they dont cant cause they suck now at stories. Don;t get me wrong they are inavative in features and video but when it comes down to it there stories blow. The story for this game sucked , the oening movie was awsome and same with some of the other cut scenes . But i'm not giving this game that much credit.

Ultimoore, technically, Dirge's story IS part of FF7's story, since it goes into the details of Vincent's past more clearly. The groundwork was there from the beggining. However, I dislike the whole Deepground aspect. Hundreds of thousands of soliders pop up outta nowhere and begin killing a large amount of people? Come on. Also, I noticed there are absolutely ZERO refferals to the movie, though the back of the cover states it takes place after AC. It's like those events never even happened.
