Final Fantasy 7: Dirge of Cerberus

I recently got Dirge of Cerberus and the game is freaking awesome i would give spoilers, but that would not be doing Square Enix justice, So go buy the game.Battle system is kinda DMC(Devil may Cry), but challenge none the less.Storyline was great, Square Enix finally reveals the big deal about OMEGA WEAPON and what it was meant for(you know omega weapon from VIII,X,and X-2. The one thing on VIII you probaly never beat but i did honest to god sooo:P) Now Stroyline 9.5/10 Graphics 10/10 anything i miss nah dont think so.

And Kingdom Hearts is nothing more than a mediocre game, and I imagine DoC is fun but I can't imagine it being much more than an average game unless you are an FF7 addict.

Omega Weapon was rather easy. I just morphed a card and got those Holy Wars, i believe they were called, and just made myself invincible (I played FF8 so many times that i've mastered the thing. I even wrote a walkthrough on it.)

Anyways... I have to wait till my birthday for it :/ because my parents decided instead of giving me cash, they'd buy me games. So all three games that come out this month, i have to wait for my birthday for. So in September I will finally know if this game is good or bad! Because I keep hearing different things @_@

No, its very "same" ish. I guess its different in the vien of we havent had a poorly made 3d person shooter in a while, and certainly never such a mediocre engine attacked to such high budget cinematics but that's nothing to brag about.It's a less fun version of Gungrave with a popular liscence. Its rushed and too easy and really only enjoyable for people who dont normally play(or suck at) shooters and really really blindly love the franchise. The poeple who love ff7 reasonably will hate this because its just not fun, and the new characters are weird, and the story is weird and DBZish.

the subtext, nobody died in FF7 according to the "sequals", and in the "real" ending nobody died in Dirge, so ohboy room for a direct sequal!

The secret ending is laughable and is fast becoming a youtube joke.

But to put things in perspective, I viewed Kingdom hearts as nothing more than Dynasty Warriors mashing+Disney Liscence+big budget cinemas+(somehow!) more convulted story. So if you enjoyed something like KH, who knows? Maybe you'll like this. And maybe you'd like a pile of manuer with a brass sheen applied over the surface, in which case I have something in my backyard to sell you.

(Also, that video is the regular ending in the english version...unless my abyssmal performance was perfect.)


All in all, DoC is fun to play when you bored of the regular stuff. And hell, it beats Syphon Filter: Omega Strain easily. Plus, the graphics are pretty awsome....voice acting sucks though.

The reviews have been pretty poor, but the comments I saw on the GFAQs boards suggest that it's not that bad. I'll rent it.

Yeah, I'd rent it....but I already bought it It's worth buying if you find certain missions fun though (Plus, sniping is actually easy to pull off, and that's saying something from a guy who can't use a scope worth crap in Halo).

Oh, and if you think the music rocks, then you don't have taste. It's mainly rehashed FF7 songs, with the regular "beautifully orchestrated" new songs. The tutorial music misleads you too. It sounds sci-fish, which rocks, but the rest of the game is regular FF fanfare. Nothing special

Well there is Gackt. Gackt isnt just "nothing special", s/he is ESPECIALLY bad.
That takes some effort. You wont soon forget it, even if you try.

I play shooters all the fecking time and I enjoyed Dirge of Cerberus's gameplay. Could it have been better? Yes. Is it a AAA blockbuster game? No. Is it BAD? No it absolutely frikkin is not.

The game is fun, and the cinematics are awesome, and I enjoyed the storyline as well.

Take it from me who's favorite Final Fantasy wasn't VII, Dirge of Cerberus is a pretty good game that's is at very least worth a rental, no matter what some peoples haughty and perhaps elitist opinion is. If it looks interesting play it. Don't listen to Ryanwh.
