Thoughts? I myself personally liked what ive played so far...couldve been a litttttle bit better but actually having a sequel was enough fro me IMO, even though it kinda crushed my whole ff2 sequel rmxp project =( but ive beat both of the first chapters and CANT WAIT for the next ones to come out!

not really, at least in my opionon i mean yea its like 48 bucks or somethin like that but most games are 63.99 + tax

yea it shoulda been maybe ten bucks cheaper, but do u at least like the game itself?

I mean, seriously here in switzerland it would cost about 65 swiss franks and I bought Mario Galaxy for 70 swiss franks
so even 55 swiss franks wouldn't be a fair price.
Also if I ever play it, I would hack my Wii to do so (first time I'd actually pirate a Wii game)

yes, but those $60 games are store bought, and come with a nice plastic box and paper manual
and also a DISK. I will not pay $50 for a game that should cost me no more than 30, especially if it is download only (I'm one of those old-school freaks who prefers physical media to anything digital).

I agree. I for one am not planing to get this until the price drops. Besides, though I've never finished ffiv, from what I've heard, the story was tied up nicely in the original, unlike ffx, the only other game to get a true sequel that sports the final fantasy name as its main, not as a subtitle. The ffvii spin-offs are only there because of the large fan base and the fact that square is a business and likes to make money.

37 bucks really aint a lot of money if your working, at least in my opinion. maybe its just me though because ff4 was always my favorite rpg game OF ALL time (started playin when i was about 6 on snes lol ), i always liked all th ff until about 10 then i stopped playing cuz everytime id look at one of there new releases it didnt seem turn based battle it seemed more like action. but hey, im sure the ff4 sequel will come down in price

and damnit nobody had actually given there opionon of the GAME itself as in playing it, thats what i was shooting for! :lol:

You get even more gameplay hours in all of this then in the actual FFIV. Gameplay time wise you get basically a full RPG game. If it was on GBA or DS it would likely cost $35 for it all plus tax. They're basically charging exactly what they would in store. It makes perfect sense. Sure, they could charge us less but they don't need to. The thing sold 3 million copies so far. It's not like they need to lower the price to get more sales.

Not ass-terrible, but definitely not worth the price. It's like something made in RPG Maker; I ain't paying for that sort of thing unless it's handheld.

Let's face it, if this was released in stores we wouldn't even be having this discussion. Simply because it's for download on Wii are we doing so. I think it's ridiculous that the method of getting the game really means so much to people. In fact I use IGN's direct2drive system all the time including how I got The Sims 3, doesn't lower my opinion of the game. Grow up and discuss the game as I will when I'm able to download it.

It's not that I have anything against downloading games, I just prefer physical media, and will always try to get an actual disk before downloading. I dont want to pay full price and not get everything I would at retail. My biggest beef with this is the price. For a download-only game, it's pretty steep when added all together.

Oh, I should probably clarify why. It's a stereotypical RPG and has the quality of a fan-made game. I'm happy I didn't buy it.

Also, the fact that it wasn't produced in a hard copy format *at all* tells you already that it wasn't a serious title. In the end, it wasn't anywhere near worth what they were charging. Even as a hand held game, I wouldn't take it seriously.

The first thing when I saw the game was check the date, the game isn't to be seen.. it looks like it was made 15 years ago or so, I have totaly no interest in the story

SE is trying to make easy money it seems ...
The barely put effort in it, and that for the sequel of one of the best..
(to think they even put more effort in all those FF7 shithole shit.. while FF7 is one of the most sucking games I ever played)

Sorry to break it to you and I don't mean to bash all you RPG Makers but seriously, I haven't played a single RPG Maker XP game that can get close to matching this or any serious SNES RPG. You guys aren't that good. Saying it has the quality of a fan-made game just makes you look stupid.

Uh, no it doesn't. For one, I didn't relate it to .Org, nor was I specific about any group.

Also, just because *you* haven't played a fan-made game of that quality doesn't mean one exists. Trust, me there are Indie-games out there just as good as this one, and that's not saying much.
