[FILLED] Custom Animated Menu (Must Be Mr.Mo ABS Compatible)

Status
Not open for further replies.
Hello,
Today I have been working for about 6 hours straight to create these examples for a Custom Menu System that is animated and fully compatible with Mr.Mo's ABS.. Meaning simply, I can equip hotkeys with the menu. I want to use Trickster's Gradient Bars with this script, so it is a must have!! This menu system is very picture orientated, most places you see odd text like "Main" in the main menu picture, those are already placed within the actual picture. The system won't use visible windows I don't believe, I don't want to see window skin menus at all. As well the menu needs to be able to display the map below, all pictures are semi-see through and have transparent backgrounds. One more thing... All images shown here were made by me (excluding the winged gem looking things, gold icon, and clock icon) and will be distributed to you to work with, if you need anything to be made in addition, please ask... Now I will divide the menu into pieces so it is easier to understand what each part does. First let me start with the Main Menu.

Main Menu:

This is the the layout of everything after the initial animation introduction of the menu is transitioned. I have a custom cursor and selection cursor. You will notice it at the side of the "Status" button. These Cursors will be used throughout the entire menu. So they will replace window skin buttons... as well this entire menu is based off of pictures, so window skins will not be used.

The time system that will be used to display time is Kylock's Time System (KTS).

Also, if you notice the Map Name, I need the map name to be a different text than the rest of the menu system.

The Sub-Menu Buttons on the side will need to drop down into place from the top right above where they are shown.

The Gold icon and display is going to need to move up into place from the bottom.

The Main Menu picture across the top, needs to slide in to place from the left side.

The Character Status, that displays the HP, MP, Dash, Sneak, EXP, the character name, and character level needs to come from the bottom right corner into place where it is displayed. The animation needs to be a diagonal movement. If this is impossible, then it could just fade into place where it is.
Here is an example of this shift and the cursor movement/selections. As well I included an example of what the character status display looks like when in action.

The Numerical HP/MP and State display needs to fade into place after all other animations have completed, the idea for the state display is fairly simple to understand from the screenshot. That is it for the main menu...

Sub Menus: All Sub Menu's will need to have the frames/boxes dropped from the top into place. As well I will make a graphics label for whatever menu it is, you don't need to make a text thing stating that it is the status menu, item menu, etc.

Status Menu:
Here is an example of what it will look like... Without all the details of the character.

The Box with the red stripes is where all character information needs to be placed, please try to keep all the information condenced within the border please. It does not need to be anything fancy, as will any of the sub menus, I just need the basic information, sprite, character name, character level, stat progression in numericals and in a gradient bar... etc.

Skills Menu:
Here is an example of the layout again, this time for the Skills/Techniques Menu...
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b347/ ... lsMenu.png[/IMG]

This is the menu that requires to be compatible with Mr.Mo's ABS. It needs to be able to equip skills to hotkeys, as will the Item Menu, but that one will be in a different place. Now let me explain each box... The far left is only to display the character name, HP/MP in numericals and gradient bars, thats it. The box at the right needs to have two columns of skills to choose from, when a character presses 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0 it needs to allow the equipping of hotkeys, which in return bring up the "Equip Skill?" button displayed below to the right of the skills box and under the character information box, once the skill is equipped the "Equip Skill?" button needs to disappear and allow movement through the skill list once again. As well the bottom frame needs to display the skill information.

Item Menu:
Here is the layout...
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b347/ ... msMenu.png[/IMG]
Again like before, there needs to be two columns of items to scroll through. As well like the skill menu, you can equip items to hotkeys, thus needing to be able to equip them the same way, except for the button to display for equipping skills needs to be centered between the top moon and above the item list display box, so it floats above it and there is still space between the moon and side of the screen. I don't have a screenshot for this example, but if you need me to make one I will. As well again display the item information in the bottom frame.

Equipment Menu:
Here is the layout...
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b347/ ... ntMenu.png[/IMG]
The box on the left needs to display the characters name, level, attack/MDef/PDef in numericals and gradient bars. Be sure to show the increase or decrease of stats when switching armor and weapons next to the current base values. The box to the right needs to display the armor and weapons currently equipped icons included. The box on the bottom needs to be a two column list of armor/weapons that are currently able to be equipped. The top frame needs to display armor/weapon information.

Quit Menu:
Here is a layout, fairly simple I imagine heh...
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b347/ ... itMenu.png[/IMG]
In the box in the center, simple goes in the following list: Title Screen, Shutdown, Cancel.
Easy enough huh?

Now here are a few more details that need to be taken care of, I want saving disabled in the Menu, I have save points scattered across maps so I have no use for it. Whenever there is a stat display I want there to be a gradient bar that shows the progress up to the max as well a numerical amount of how many points the character has into the stat, except on the Main Menu... I just want numericals where they are listed. All Items, Skills, Equipment must display not only the name of the item, skill, or equipment piece, but the icon of it as well. Always use the cursor and select cursor, be sure to give space for the cursor to move down and be next to the object you are wanting to select. All text must be customizable, meaning I can change the size and font choice whenever I want. That is about it on details, I hope this was detailed enough.

As well please try to get in touch with me via email, instant messenger, or posting in this thread. I appreciate any one who takes up this menu system!
