This game is rated "R". Therefore, you need to be of a restrict age of 17 to play this game. Personally, i would say an open-minded 14 year old could handle it. But the plot is kinda twisted and includes hard drug use and is mentally graphic. Enjoy!

Plot Line:
Fickle Cell is a game about a mental patient with psycadellic mental powers. You learn how to do tricks with your mind; moving objects, ripping enemies in two, altering time, shape-shifting, bending the enviroment are skills that the character learns throughout the game. The main characters powers are granted to him through his progression in the external world from the amount of drugs hes done. He is a fallen prophet of heaven, as his past life was very critical resulting in him being mental. He was given the opportunity to bring good into his life after all hes been through, rather than get revenge on the world for what it made him. Therefore, God sends aid to try to alter his mind making the prophocies correct. Although, the main character is pulled away as the voices of hell pledge to his carnage on earth.

Game Story
The game starts off with a cinematic of you seeing what happens to the main character, Kyle when he was younger which makes him get into a mental ward. Which where he learns psycadellic powers and bends matter to his own will. Two years later, Kyle is being questioned too in a basement in the mental ward. The doctor tests his patients, he decides to kill him as his power is already great enough to overpower the world. As he learned how to make dream a reality. He ends up braking out of the mental ward, and goes to see his old friend that he had past drug relations with. His friend tells him his sister went missing and he proposes Kyle to use his powers to seek his daughter out. Kyle agrees as he could use his psycadellic powers to sense vibes. Kyle ends up stumbling upon a broken down house, which turns out to be very big and luxurious on the inside. Kyle goes through the tasks of the house to get his way to finding a secret basement. He finds tons of people chained and slaved from the owner of the house. Kyle ends up realizing that Omar's sister must be one of them. Kyle runs into a slave that he can actually talk to as all the other ones were locked up in other rooms, yet he could hear them yelling and grunting. The slave explains how he did see a black girl( as Omar's sister is an african-americano)and that the man is going to use her so he shelters her better. But before the slave could explain he died... [ Thats all i have for now thats on the RPG maker, im still putting more on. I'll keep posting.]

Improving Character:
When playing the game, your character can upgrade his stats(strength, dexterity, etc.)by finding drugs and doing them. Certain drugs can
permenatly increase your stats. Some drugs can temporarily give you a boost. But, throughout the game you'll find you need a certain level of stat to get through certain roadblocks. For example, there could be a big crate in your way and you'll need 50 intelligence to use your psycadellic powers to move it out of the way. Or, a security gaurd could jump on you and you need a certain level of strength to push him off you.

Characters:
Kyle -
Was raped by another boy his age when younger in a basement. His parents divorced as his Dad was a bit violent and had a temper. His father's lonelyness resulted in Kyle being raped once again by someone. Kyle's depression came him to the life-style of drugs and with that came his addiction to Crystal Meth. His addiction to this drug gave him an infection called, Meth Tooth. When your tooth decays from dehydration of too much meth use. His father found out about his meth addiction when he received a dental report stating that his decaying tooth is actually a meth tooth. His father mentions this too Kyle and blaims it on Kyle's black friend. Kyle's father being a racist starts to threaten to kill him. Kyle takes offense and being on meth, gets very angry and beats his dad to death. He goes crazy after this from the state of shock and the mixture of his meth high. He gets sent to a mental ward and two years later, after practicing psycadellics alone in his mind. He finds out he can bend matter to his own will with his psycadellic mind, therefore escaping the ward only to be challanged by the gods of good and evil.

Omar -
Kyle's Meth buddy. They were best friends since Kyle had a hard time finding a buddy that didn't want to rape him. Omar grew attatched to Kyle's odd behaviours, as he is unaware of Kyle's past. Omar actually got Kyle into drugs, and Kyle found this signifigant about Omar. Although, Omar's lack of respect for Kyle brings Kyle to have paranoid thoughts. Resulting in Kyle having to want to question Omar once he gets out of the ward. As Omar easilly convinced Kyle to do hardcore drugs and didn't warn him of side-effects and told him that drugs arn't even bad for him.

Hey, just a heads up -- I've moved this to Concept Development, since there isn't really enough content for a full Project Discussion topic. Generally speaking, a project is ready for Project Discussion once you've made enough progress to take a few screenshots of different elements, as well as being able to briefly outline the plot, characters, and whatever other details you might add.

In terms of the content you have up, this is pretty sparse; I like the concept, and think it would be cool to see it executed in a game, but I can't think of much else to say since there's so little information. Are there any other details you could give us? A brief outline of the different characters in the story, a look into how you're planning to have the game mechanics work, some details about your setting, etc.

The name is pretty cool. Would it be too big a spoiler if I asked how it related to the game itself?
 
Yeah, thanks for moving me to the write topic. And im going to add more, its just it was late last night and i was pretty high.
Couldn't really think of anything and be productive but yeah, here we go : )

That sounds pretty cool, but I don't see how you'll manage to design and program the interface: If the player stops time, what should happen?
If you can rip enemies with your mind, then what's the point of the game?
It just sounds too easy to be interesting. If you can change the environment as you wish (Which I have absolutely NO idea how your'e going to program that), what else can you acheive?

Which this game reminds me a lot of, and i like the ideas. But also I have to agree with omer; how ARE you going to design the interface? What kind of game is this going to be? (platformer, rpg, psychic em up, etc?)?
 
It actually depends on several factors, one of them being the blood's partial oxygen pressure. On a sense, you are absolutely right. Classic text book definition states that sickle cells have a crescent shape. What we're seeing is an intermediate stage, where blood cells haven't been fully deformed.
