Anyway, I have a small update... Below I have added a Status icon for Status effects to the HP/FP section in battle. (The one on there is Poison.) http://img482.imageshack.us/img482/4052/statusdy9.png[/img]
I have also added block images/commands in battle. They still need to be put into a ring and spin around above the character though...
If anyone could help me with this part I'll surely have a reward for them. Basically I just need to get the icons into a ring menu and center it above the character. (After changing the dimensions on the ring menu to make it look less like a circle and more like a oval thing.

Ne'er heard of one, but I guess something that attaches itself to (you said skill...) def Skill_Effect for the Game_Battler class. Just showing their final resulting HP?
BTW: Got some glitches with the main menu. Couldn't exit after ITEMS and going through the EQUIP menu (needed some shrooms to heal).
It's great to see someone rip graphics and edit them to suit their needs. I see this as such a positive thing because then you concentrate more on the gameplay and fun level as appose to whether the GFX have the umph ... "sigh"
The mechanics of the game are superb and you've got the sound effects down perfectly. Mario's a character that you're going to get a LOT of critique about as he is so well known and loved. But if you keep doing what you're doing you'll have no problem.
