during the exorcism or w/e with the dancing guy and smacktalkin' goat i literally couldn't stop laughing, so mission accomplished. there's no way they were playing that completely straight.

i think im just heartless. most death scenes make me laugh :x (the gorier, the funnier, for the most part). i see kids in a horror movie and all i can do is hope they get stomped into kidpaste.

and yet when when they show animals die/get hurt, i cry out in sadness :x

i think they both lived, the girl and the boy and some other dude, and after they take off in the helicopter during the credits or after they flash to the hull of the helicoptor, where it looks like it's crash landed and it's empty and you hear crazy people outside and oh nooo

we just watched the Thing again the other night!!!! i really thought it was only my nostalgia but shit yeah those effects are fucking insane, ESPECIALLY for pre-CG shit (but IMO that looked so much better than CG'd shit)
