Hmm a ton of images are broken.

And is that RTP is see in that title screen? I thought it was illegal to sell RMXP games with any RTP material in it.

and i don't want to spend 2 dollars.

Agreed.

As long as he bought the RPG Maker XP, it's legal to sell his game with RTP.

And 2 dollars isn't that expensive. Really.

Well why would people want to buy a game like this they could get a game like Master of the Wind or Quintessence for free? And it's only 2-3 hours.

It's the developer's choice whether they want it free or commercial. While I agree on the point that games like Quintessence and MotW are so much better and free, we should give the guy a chance, no?

Thank you, Love...if people are to buy these cheap RMXP games and support the game designer, I am sure better games will come out...but I don't know if anyone wants to spend a whole $2 to support me! But that is a choice they have to make. :D

The images are fixed.

Also, I did pay for RMXP and in the license I have the rights to sell my game. This is my first release for a commercial game and I know that there are better games, but why not support the game designers out there? Try something new, not ALL games are the same...despite their stories sometimes...

Oh. Doesn't Matter, I found out after the smexual rabbits xD

No problem. ^^ I just played the demo, and will be honorable to be the first to give you a quick review and some criticism.

For a commercial game, I honestly expected more (even if it's just $2 worth). No, I am not saying that you didn't put enough effort, it actually looks like you did put a lot of effort in this, but I am saying that I expected more stuff. The mapping was nice, but it could be improved at some places. You have solid mapping and all, but it could use some polishing.

Now quickly reviewing:

Storyline and Presenting - 3/5

At some parts, things were tad rushed. Like the intro for example, it was way too rushed. I especially didn't like how that when I clicked New game, the intro suddenly popped up to me. I was kinda expecting like a fade out or something, some shaking, flashes, you know. Also, the main hero died too quickly. I think it would have been better if you added some real battles, to heat it up. However, I liked how those green words were fading in and out, although I felt it was too repetitive at times.
You should also present who are Kaitleen and the other guy (forgot the name lol) because I was confused.

Graphics and Pictures - 4/5

I liked how you made lots of expressions for the sprites to heat up the mood. ^^ Lots of RTP use, but I don't mind since I always liked them anyway. ^^ The mapping like I said was nice, but it could be improved. Examples are the hero's hometown, I felt there was lots of improvements that could be done there. The intro's cave as well was too crowded, you should have taken some stuff out. The original drawings however...well, it may be just me because I like anime too much but I felt they were...umm ugly or weird. Not best thing to put in a title screen. lol

Also, is Kaitleen a girl or a guy? The character set is confusing me but I assume she is a girl unless he is gay. lol

Gameplay - 4/5

I liked the reputation system a lot, especially at that farmer on ladder thing. lol But I think at the house-entering thing, you should have first gave us a hint where the hero's home is as not to enter randomly searching for it. The battles were too rushed as well, and I couldn't really think well or choose what I should do. I felt that the comp was doing it automatically and I felt confused.

Sounds and Music - 3/5

I am not really a fan of the RTP music but ok. Some parts didn't really match the mood, like the intro and the hometown. Didn't create an "atmosphere", you know? The voice acting at that mage part was disliked as well, since I couldn't really make out what were they saying. I'd suggest either taking it out or making some text with it.

Overall, I give it a 7/10. It seems like you put some nice effort in this game, but with some little more, it could be much better. Good luck with it. ^^

.
Should I believe you or should I believe them?
(they say that you need to have custom everything(possibly except scripts) to sell RMXP/VX games).

Amanda Fitch made Aveyond using lots of RTP, and no one ever touched her. And as far as I remember, everyone agrees that selling a game with RTP is allowed.

o_O that's strange.
I fail to undertand why people will side on one end or another on this matter without actually putting any sort of research into it(ie who here bothered to read the license agreement when installing rm). Yes, you can sell a game with RTP.

Haha, thanks a ton, Love! I am glad that someone took some time to critique it! I am definitely going to work on those main parts. :) I think that Kaitlen is a girl sprite, but if not, it is in my game. :D Anyways, some of the characters have discrete intros because their stories will be explained later, but it just leads up to meeting the characters. (That is what chapter one does; all of the characters have a set area for their development.)

As for the intro and telling where the house is...

In the intro, it is more like a flash 'future' of what is going to happen. (That happens a few times...) The house you have to find on your own because as the player, you need to learn how your reputation works and what to do and what not to do in order to get through the game.

About using the reputation, when the full game is released, you will use that reputation to lead and get higher ranks in the King's Army. (CAUTION: SPOILER) Not only is Joshua helping the King in the War, he helps his dad with the Chaos Thieves because his father promises him something late on in the game.

Haha, it's okay, I read the License agreement when I bought it so I knew what I could do with it. :D

No problem. =D I support your game much and I wish you best of luck with it. It can make some really nice outcome in the end ^^

Thank you again...Love, you make me inspired to finish the game! I wish more people had a positive attitude about this game, I would be able to finish it faster with suggestions and people giving good critique on it.

I am working on those areas that you said I should edit. :D I am almost done with most of them. I think I am going to completely re-work another intro into the beginning so that it makes the game make more sense. :P

That would be better, and remember that intro shouldn't suddenly pop up once you click New game. I prefer some fading ins and outs. :P

And yup, I agree that more people should play and critique, since that what encourages people to improve, right? ^^

I just played the demo, and when you can choose the paths, I chose Greed and tryed to start again but it automatically chose greed again.
