You can have your own opinion but if you don't like them, then don't post shit like that.Marcus":1qe0h2gw said:Dargor":1qe0h2gw said:No unfortunately, I was hired 3 months ago :/ But I played through the whole game a couple of times and and tried the map editor a bit.
you work for ubisoft, eh? maybe they'll have you working on their 4589345 different wii games like throw thing at thing and balance object on thing II.
you probably have to sign a non disclosure contract but if there's any open source info you have on that awesome splinter cell game that hasn't been mentioned in almost a year that'd be great.
Actually Dargor works for ubisoft montreal, which made some pretty good games like assasin's creedMarcus":240j7fmw said:Dargor":240j7fmw said:No unfortunately, I was hired 3 months ago :/ But I played through the whole game a couple of times and and tried the map editor a bit.

It's totally useless and not constructive at all.
Obviously, I can't talk about that.Marcus":ixy3fos8 said:you probably have to sign a non disclosure contract but if there's any open source info you have on that awesome splinter cell game that hasn't been mentioned in almost a year that'd be great.
Dargor":crns9jqk said:Hmm, no I'm not getting butthurt about it. Actually, I find it quite funny because, you don't even know half of what we're working on. Your comment was just, lets say, inappropriate. Or you're probably just not well informed? Wii games are only a small part of our products, but I'm sure you know that

Is it just me, or does anyone notice a HUGE performance hit when there's extensive (or even just minor) collision detections nearby? I used to think it was just the shotgun, because every time I got into a firefight against people with the shotgun, I'd drop to 0 fps for like 2 minutes while it sits there and finally finishes the shotgun fire. I then found a 'fix' for that, and it helped slightly, but now that I'm further into the game, I notice that it happens whenever two things hit each other (excluding enemies/npc). So, if I crash my vehicle into some douchebag's vehicle cause he won't move out of my way, I have to wait, literally, 2-4 minutes for it to finish 'catching up' from the lag, meanwhile enemies can still fire on me just fine, and I usually find myself dead before the lag is finished. Other than that, I can run the game fine at 30+ fps with max graphics and 4x AA.

Solution: TURN OFF AA AND SEE IF IT STILL WORKS HURR
