Storyline

Around camp fires and in tavern talk, stories are told of an evil that once spread throughout the lands of Ardonia.
A story of a craftsman and a wise mage who together created three stone slabs with incantations carved upon them to dispel the evil back through the portal from whence it came.
Once peace had been restored to the land, the three stones were seperated and hidden in the furthest corners of Ardonia.
It has been written that one day there will be a second coming of this evil.

Tired of the slow pace of the farm that his father retired to after serving as an elite Drakenguard warrior, and with a thirst for adventure, our hero decides to leave home, keen to put the fighting skills his father taught him, to the test and so he sets off, blissfully unaware of the fate that lies before him.

Bubbins

From a very young age, Bubbins was selected to train at the Mage's temple. The elder mage is very keen for Bubbins to put all the skills she has learnt to the test, and so, when our hero stumbles upon the mages temple on his travels and is selected for a very important mission, the elder mage is keen to pair the two.

Spoiler: Features

- Extra battle options including, automatic attack options (see screenshot), and equip items during battle.
- Added battle effects including, Immune message when you or an enemy is immune to the attack. Also status messages (see screenshot) and added battle sound effects for critical hits and misses. Also the screen will flash on a critical hit.
- Ally HP and SP bars during battle.
- Recover HP when you defend.
- Enemy HP bars and health percentage.
- When you do not have a full party, party members are automatically centred on the battle screen.
- Battle results window. After battle a window pops up showing experience gained and level up messages.
- Difficulty menu. (This option on the title screen doesn't really take effect on the demo but in the full version it will change the strength of enemy bosses.)
- Ring menu system.
- Letter by letter messaging.
- Diagonal character movement.
- Game over and quit game menu options.
- Animated title screen.
- Animated save files.

Some mystical artefacts to seal it away...
A farmboy with swordskills, going on an adventure...

Sounds rather cliche. Besides... I don't know what to do in the demo... First I am on the beach. I fight some monsters. I go north. I am on a large map, with no obvious path or any idea where to go. That's when I shut down the programm.
Hero even had that Cross Cut move on him... Everyone except Bubbins only had standard moves.

I have to say though, that your mapping was good. It looked kind of natural...

Why is the installation trying to speak japanese?

Just so you know, the Japanese text is probably there because you made it using an illegal translation of the program.

No no, Dalton probably has Asian Text support on, and this causes all backslashes in directory addresses (\) to become Yen symbols. If this was made with the illegal version, the installation buttons would be in Japanese a- ooooh.

Why are areas of the installation blank for you?
Ah, you are using an illegal version as you are using Verdana or Tahoma or something as your game font, and it appears the same as what the illegal versions use. Are your scripts in Japanese?
Well, unless you've set the font yourself and the default scripts are in English, you are most likely using the illegal version.

EDIT: Eh? Hold on, some screens don't use the default Arial but some do. "Yuor faec is confusing! DX"

Really? I put them as links on purpose because I thought many people wouldn't want to scroll down screenshot after screenshot and it would be more tidy. I think that opinion maybe devided between people.

If anyone else would like to comment on this it would be much appreciated.

I'm going to make sure I know wether my version is legal or not before I re-open the download. If I find out it is'nt, I will download a new version and transfer my files. All my scripts are definately in English.

Hm.. Strange... It doesn't do this when I try to install other games, so it can't be my computer...

But since your scripts are english... It is unlikely your version is ileagly translated...
