Fall of the Living Website

Hello everyone I am the site designer for the official Fall of the Living website. I have recently uploaded the site; which also has smf forums, and I need some advice on how I might be able to speed the website up (mostly the forums). I am using x10hosting, and to visit the website click here

Well i know a few tricks in smf.
But i haven't got an active SMF forum, i switched to PHPBB, so i cant really remember much

But firstly what version is it?

My bad. To speed it up, get a better host. I know you're probably strapped for cash, but your best bet is to get a $4/month economy plan at Go-Daddy and get a $1 domain with it. GD has an application center that will install SMF for you. I don't know squat about x10 or whatever, but GD is the best place to go if you're low on moolah and want a simple framework for putting a site together.

Thank you, and I do plan on improving the sever, but right now I have to make best with what I have, but once I can I'll use your advise on what to do. Thank you.

Yeah, no problem. Because honestly, the slowness is only because you're server isn't all to powerful. Your best bet for the interim is to prune the server as much as you can to conserve bandwith, disallow attachments, disallow user uploaded avatars, and things of that nature.

Yeah x10hosting is pretty crap, But I've done what i can so far =]
