Extract Failed, Test.002, Help please. =(

So it looks like no one has been able to download and play my game for the past 5 versions I've uploaded to my site. For the past 5 versions I've noticed that the file size has been exactly 131.154 MB big. During this time I've continued to add pictures, characters, etc. to the project. And still, stuck on 131.154 MB. Odd.

Then about 30 minutes ago it occurred to me that an odd file titled "Test.002" has been popping up on my desktop. I usually save all files related to my project on my desktop and just delete it all off occasionally. It also occurred to me that this "Test.002" file has popped up for roughly the past 5 times I've compressed my project. Uh-oh.

I compress my project again, try to extract it to my desktop and I get this:

Has anyone seen this before? What do I do?

(The project works fine when I test run it and search for bugs. I get no errors when I play it from the main project file.)

=(

UPDATE:

I just attempted to compress my project without encrypting it and... it worked fine.

Are there any file types that produce this error, which happens when you try to encrypt it? I think I recently added some BGM files. If it's anything, I'm thinking it's got to be one of those.

From another forum:

Too many audio files usually don't compress well with the projects. I can't really remember, but I know Master of The Wind always has a .zip inside the game with the music you have to put into the BGM folder. I think...

I first deleted a lot of the BGM files and it still didn't work... so I did it your way copy/pasted them into a zip folder and... as far as I can tell it worked.

I guess that's what I'm going to have to do. I'm just worried that my download instructions are getting too long for my liking. I already have people downloading the game, the RTP, and moving a font file around. Now I'm going to have to tell them have a separate BGM download and move them to the BGM folder.

Hm... Oh well, at least it works.

(Unless anyone has any suggestions on how to make it easier on new players.)

To save space, someone pointed out (on my forums) that the 16MB file titled "Game.exe.log" file that's always part of the download may not be necessary.

I guess... I never really questioned why it was there.

Is this a necessary file?

Try Right Click => WinRar => Extract here, on the .exe file, then recompress it yourself as a single file.

As he said here, RMXP compressed archives decompress just fine with WinRAR, 7zip, etc. In fact, they usually will faster as well. I would actually suggest that once you encrypt the archive, use on of these programs to create a self-extracting archive with the files. They are far less buggy.
